Comet Trail Cycles is a quaint, bike store about 10 miles from the trailhead at Smyrna. Their shop sits along the trail and is hard not to notice. Every time I've visited they were friendly and accommodating, willing to fill up water bottles for cyclists passing by. One thing I enjoy about this bike shop more than others is they don't seem gunho about selling you a sponsor bike, and actually take pride in maintaining and restoring older models. I currently ride a beater bike and this was the first shop that said I could still use it and can just make a few upgrades. Great store, they

Ride on and prosper!
Loved it!! Nice staff too!!
What a cool set up & location. I visited family and rented a good ole Marlin Black Friday bc I was NOT shopping.
I filled out waiver online, chose a bike and had a nice ride to Hiram.
Bring some fuel & a btl of water-bikes have water cage on em. Powder Springs has nice signage to food/venues/attractions along the way. Too bad it was so cold n windy for exploration.
Thanks again!

I love this place. I have been to many bike shops throughout the city of Atlanta and hate to say they sometimes have a don't bother me with your questions attitude. This shop was friendly, cares about safety above dollars, has rentals, snacks, popsicles, is willing to educate you and much more. You can shop for bikes and accessories, rent bikes of all kinds. They are a class act.

After trying several different shops to work on my Ride1Up e-bike and getting turned down, Comet Trail happily helped me out. They trued up the front and rear wheels tightening the spokes, fixed a bent derailleur that wouldn't go down to 1st gear and solved my seat problem where it wouldn't stay tight. The price was extremely fair and I highly recommend taking any e-bike here to be serviced or repaired.

The comet trail is a good place exercise lot of trees that provides shade. You can ride bicycles, run, walking, skateboarding and skates. Also There's a bike shop on-site that fix bikes and sale all type of equipment for bicycle and other items. On Saturday there's a few food vendors on-site that sales refreshments and cold drinks. The amazing part is the trails goes all the way to Alabama.. Have a blessed day everyone 🕊️

I stopped in here one day looking to pick up a gravel bike, this would be my first drop bar bike as well. The fellas here took the time to fully educate me on the in's and outs of riding one, how to take care of my tubeless tires (another first) and answered my many other questions. Couldn't ask for better service or friendlier folks! I'll happily be back to pick up any other bike supplies that I may need.

I had a great experience at Comet Trail Cycles. I brought in my wife's new bike that was purchased online that had arrived with a bent rim. I expected to need to leave it at the shop for a few days but to my surprise, Jeph got right to work on it. Not only did he do a great job fixing the problem I came in with, he fixed several other issues on the bike. I will gladly be a repeat customer there.

We decided to do Date Day and went to the Silver Comet Trail on a Saturday morning around 10. Be prepared to wait. We waited for about an hour and half but we enjoyed chatting and people watching. The trail is great, beautiful scenery and other cyclers were very polite with the less experienced cyclers.

I had planned to cycle 100k (30 miles out and back for a total of 60 miles) with Nicole and our little one but just managed about 1/2 that distance. The trail opened up again and it was busy with bikers, runners and walkers. We were riding a cruiser and a mountain bike and although this is an old rails to trails conversion it still had plenty of elevation to keep it challenging. I'll have to conquer this trail on my road bike a little later in the year. Loved all the little pull outs along the way too.

To begin off the week I decided to take my son bike riding. School is almost out and I've been trying to do different fun things with him. We decided to go to the Silver Comet trails and since he has his bike already, I had to rent one. The bike rentals are $10 per bike for an hour and for the whole day I believe it's $40, but you can also go to their website just to be sure. The guys are pretty informative and nice. I always rent the bike for an hour because that's about all I can take before my legs starts to hurt lol.

I would have been happy to see that someone, anyone moved a new bike shop into the old Silver Comet depot after the former one moved out. I have had my bike serviced there several times, and the people at CTC have done a great job every time. Their service was faster, better, and cheaper than anywhere else I've gone in this area. I have never rented bikes from them, but my sisters have, and were quite satisfied.

We were all a bit shocked at the rental price of $10/hr. We kept double-checking to be sure--as that's the most expensive bike rental ever. To be fair, their bikes DO have gears so that's a plus. And of course, helmet comes with it. And the bikes are in slightly newish condition.
However, at $10/hr, we felt pressure to limit our riding time, and that prevented me from continuing along the trail as my mission was to return the bike before paying $40 for a bike rental. Imo it's worth it if you plan to bike less than say 2 hrs. Or if you're forced to go biking with someone and

Great shop! I've only rented from here, a kid trailer to tow my son and my husband rented bikes before he bought one elsewhere. The owner has always been helpful to attach the trailer to my bike. I'm fairly new at riding so did not reconnect my front wheel correctly after taking it out of my car one time, and he put it on for me, no questions asked. They occasionally have vendors outside of the store to sell/market useful products. I think my husband bought his bike elsewhere because their website didn't have much info on what they sold.
