If your car is having mechanical problems we are able to diagnose the problem and repair these systems. When it comes to electrical repair for your vehicle, we offer a wide range of services. To request further information or to arrange a quote on the cost of your vehicle's electrical repair, you are encouraged to contact us right away.
We offer 30k, 60k, 90k factory tune-ups/maintenance with options of OEM parts or aftermarket. Tune-ups vary on year, make and model of car. We also offer coolant flush, transmission service and repair, and oil changes. We also replace batteries and battery terminals. We service and repair a wide variety of disc and drum brakes with options of replacing pads, rotors, brake shoes, and brake drums.
If your equipment has a small gasoline engine (18cc-31hp) on it, chances are we can repair it. We service and perform minor repairs of gas-powered residential and commercial lawn and garden equipment with a 30-day guarantee on labor. Services provided by our technicians will be more convenient and affordable than other lawn mower repair shops and services.
When an inspection or diagnostic is performed SOS Auto Repair will first seek to diagnose the problem with your car. You understand that in performing an auto repair diagnosis, the mechanic may go through a step-by-step process to rule out or confirm part failures through visual inspection and/or appropriate tests.

I was going to buy a used car. Before closing the deal, I wanted to get a professional opinion on the car's condition. I brought it in to SOS Auto for an inspection.
For $180, they did a thorough mechanical inspection. I mean THOROUGH! He checked everything. I was concerned about the frame and any possible hidden damage from previous accidents. That turned out to be fine. However, there were a lot of other issues that I didn't even think about: suspension, engine, cooling system, and on and on. He found and photographed cracks in joints and boots. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Compared to the relatively expensive diagnostics at SOS, the Brokaw AAA auto place is dramatically less expensive and has an EIGHTEEN month warranty and I have experienced more professional techs there.
I stand by my superior experience with AAA. Especially since I just had _another_ good experience there. They aren't cheap either! But they don't impose the $200+ diagnostic fee. They don't need to. Yes, SOS have plenty of good reviews, but I simply had a bad experience there: AAA diagnosed the electrical problem quickly and straitforwardly and without an expensive diagnostic fee

They were amazing working around my crazy schedule. Not only were they extremely professional and helpful, they also provide itemized receipts and estimates for every thing they do and find wrong with the car. I had several oil leaks which they were able to fix same day and for way below what i was expecting to pay. I would definitely be going to them and recommending them for any and all car related issues.

For those of you who live towards the mountains on the east side of San Jose SOS Auto repair is a good established Auto service repair shop the woman that works up front is very savvy she counts every penny so don't give all your pennies away to her she's very instant when it comes to running that business the mechanic there is very astute when it comes to auto repair and they travel and that's important for those of you who don't want to leave the house or just want to stay on the freeway that you've just been abandoned on and you kind of like it there watching the traffic go by as you sit there

Sloppy and unprofessional. A month after I got an oil change, my engine knocked... they reported no leaking or oil burning... and they lost my oil monitoring sensor. I took my car because I thought I needed my brakes replaced. The shop takes a look and tells me I'm not even close to needing a brake replacement. I appreciate their honesty, and in my book, honesty goes a long way. The owners are also very friendly. I'm glad to have them in Evergreen and I plan to take my car there going forward.

Absolutely fantastic repair shop! Needed to find an auto repair shop closer to my home for oil changes, maintenance and repairs and I found the perfect place. Evelyn manages the front office and is so kind, cheerful and professional. Art, the master mechanic, explains to you what exactly your car needs repaired in a way you can really understand if fixing cars is not your expertise.

If you are looking for honesty and good work...then SOS Auto Repair is the place to go too. I shopped around before taking my car in for service and there were so many places. Then a friend of mine recommended this place as she had just taken her car there and said they were reasonable and honest. So I made an appt and took my car in for service and Art the owner did a awesome job on explaining everything to me and getting me my car back when promised! That's a A+ in my book!!!

There aren't too many honest Family owned companies out there anymore except for this place!!! Art was awesome to work with and fixed my car by the date he said he would. I have been bringing our Family cars to him for years now, honesty and reliability are important to me as they are to Art. I definitely recommend him.
