Our business was started in 1918 by Mr. Grover Burke who opened City Electric & Fixture Co. in downtown Seattle. At that time, the company was an electrical contractor, doing domestic and commercial wiring and installations. In the 1920's the company started selling and repairing major appliances, along with small household appliances.
In 1953 Elmer Manning and Bob Lindsay bought the small appliance division from City Electric & Fixture, changing the name to City Electric Service Shop. In 1982 brothers Michael and David King bought the business, after working for City Electric Service for 8 years. The business name was changed at that time to Action Small Appliance.

Services
We specialize in the sales and service of many small household appliances. From shavers to vacuums we have an extensive inventory of products, parts and accessories. Our master technicians are factory trained and collectively have over 80 years of expertise. Come visit our new small appliance repair center in Redmond, WA!
Then we check the spring for tension, the socket and hinge for wear and make adjustments as needed. These parts are only replaced if they can't be adjusted. Finally, we test the blade for sharpness on a new clipper using a specially manufactured ribbon, that emulates hair. Each tooth on the blade is tested to make sue it cuts.
Action Small Appliance is your microwave repair headquarters. Since 1982, we have been experts in servicing microwaves. Whether your microwave is no longer heating, if the latch or door is broken, or if the control panel no longer lights up, we have the expertise to fix your appliance and fast as possible.

I took my 20 year old Kitchenaid mixer to Action for repair, after being given this referral from the factory in Ohio, 10 days before Christmas - I paid a small deposit and was given a date that they would call me (in one week) with a diagnosis of the issues and a cost for repair. I was fully expecting to have to call them (perhaps multiple times) to see if the mixer had been looked at - this is so typical these days. They called me on the day they said they would! They took payment over the phone and said they would fix it that day and I could pick it up right after Christmas! I was amazed that

Honestly, I wouldn't come back here. While I appreciate them for replacing my vacuum due to the warranty, I felt that I was being gaslight by "mike" and he was just overall rude to me.
I brought in my vacuum to be looked at becuase it wasn't functioning. It was under warranty and Bissel told me to bring it in. I had that that needed to be fix and my vacuum cord was also exposed.
He told me they dont fix damages that I did myself. I told him I pulled hte vaccum out of the box like this, Bissel had told me to come here to get it looked at and replaced. He proceeded to cut me off and tell me it

Took my carpet cleaner in for repair. Was told it would cost $25 to determine what was wrong, which was fair. Mike called several days later, when he said he would, and said it was clogged and would cost an additional $70+ to repair. I told him I would need to think about it and would get back to him in a day or two which I failed to do. I decided I would clean it myself so I went in a week later to pick it up. I told Mike I was there to pick up my Hoover carpet cleaner which was sitting close to the door. He asked for my stub which I did not have, but told him I was happy to show him my driver
