Human kindness describes this business ethics. My husband and I are so grateful we had a minor problem and they were overwhelmed with work but not only did they take in our vehicle they fixed it free of charge and would not even take the $ 100 tip that we offered. Patrick at All American Automotive really went the extra mile for me this week when trying to get a new battery for my specialty vehicle... The previous battery had failed, and Patrick worked directly with the battery vendor (Interstate) to use my warranty as a credit towards a newer, better, AGM-style battery.
Normally other shops would have made me try to get a rebate or a credit from the manufacturer myself, but Patrick took care of all of this for me! Not only that-- when there was a delay in the battery arriving, Patrick took it upon himself to drive down to Burlingame and pick up the battery

My experience with All American Automotive was great. I came in for an AC problem on my '16 Civic. Patrick and his team quickly diagnosed the issue, and ordered the part. The communication was fantastic and timely which is a huge plus. The work was done well and within the timeline given for the price quoted. The shop was clean and well organized. I would recommend All American Auto to anybody looking for maintenance and work on their vehicle. Honest, well run shop.

Patrick who runs the shop is one of the most honest and hard working people in the Automotive industry that I know. I received a quote from the Lexus dealership regarding my car and it was significantly overpriced. I took the car to All American Automotive and Patrick took a look at it for free and said the overall fix to the car was marginal (couple of hundred dollars). He ended up saving me thousands of dollars and fixed my car so quickly. HIGHLY recommend this service of professionals.

I just recently moved to San Francisco from Hawaii and was anxious to find a reliable auto shop that I could depend on and trust while I'm here. I never knew nothin' about cars, until my baby Lexus had a severe overheating issue that forced me to learn. All American Automotive is a LIFE SAVER, and you will never find a more honest, ethical, quality, affordable shop like Pat's. I had the most stressful year when my Lexus had an overheating issue for MONTHS that went thru 4 mechanics - one of them being actual LEXUS - and they all screwed me over with short term fixes that would have my baby break down after a few months to even just a few hours. I would subsequently get charged crazy amounts of $$ for unsuccessful jobs.

Won’t give a zero star as a courtesy. I was selling my vehicle & agreed with the buyer to have it inspected by a mechanic of her choice. I inquired if the mechanic specialized in Eurovans, he smirks & says “no one who wants to make money specializes in this vehicle”. I would have walked away there & then but had agreed to use him for the inspection. I understand that my vehicle has some miles & a few years under the hood with a couple of obvious repairs needed but some of the vehicle problems noted were trivial non mechanical cosmetic issues. Admittedly we left San Francisco 18 months ago & I should have written this review a long long time ago. Yesterday as I was dealing with the third mechanic I've dealt with since I've left there thinking what a bumbling idiot he was my thoughts went back to Pat and how he ran his shop like a king. Obviously not all car mechanics & garages are created equal...Pat is a total BOSS about his business go to him if you want superior work & service. Just got back from having my engine air filter changed. I brought the new filter myself and they changed it. No charge at all!!!! Super nice people and very very professional!! I have a engine light on and they looked into it and checked the problem for me. They make sure your car is good on road. Very responsible!

Pat and Bill got my '07 Z4 running like a dream in one day after it had been sitting in another shop for almost two weeks. Not only did they get the work done in one day, Bill was nice enough, on a Friday afternoon no less, to walk me through the repair work and explain it to my mechanically clueless self. I've been a loyal customer of All American for years, and I'm convinced that there's not a more knowledgeable team of mechanics in San Francisco. I brought my Tahoe to Pat and his crew after a number of other local shops failed to identify and correct a popping noise in my front suspension. The issue was corrected on the first try, and the turnaround was really fast.
All communication is clear and honest, I don't have to wait long for an appointment, and the staff is knowledgeable and patient enough to go into detail on all questions I've had.

Absolutely outstanding service! We were stuck in the city and needed to get back to L.A. The Volvo dealer in the city was not willing to help at all, but the tow company suggested S.F. Automotive and we are so grateful they did! They thoroughly checked out the car and we were good to go. They were extremely professional and kind. They also have a really cool restroom with a beautiful sink. We totally trusted them and were impressed with the service.

By far, this is the best auto repair shop in the city. I have been going to see Pat for about five years now, and even after a long stint of being away when I returned, he remembered me.
Sometimes in SF it is hard to feel like you are a local. Pat treats you like family. For example, I had an emergency where my phone got stuck in the well of my steering wheel and I couldn't get it out. I stopped in without an appointment and he fished the phone out for me at no charge. He just smiled and said it was no a problem.
It is so reassuring to have someone in the city that you can trust with

Best auto repair service ever!! Brought my Hyundai in yesterday for a disturbing, ever-increasing squeaky rattling sound, and was blown away by the wonderful comprehensive service! Bill explained to me the probable causes (a loose belt,) including a video showing me how the belt works (or when it doesn't!) with the exact sound my car made - bingo, problem identified! He also discovered a leaking water pump, and was able to fix all in one day. So grateful!!! I really appreciated Bill's patience in answering my questions, and clear explanations. And he even washed the car to boot

Read through all the posts. Good work. And then sort the reviews by Lowest Rating. You'll see a pattern. When something goes wrong Pat doesn't listen. He loudly talks over you. He is dismissive of your point of view. He rejects any complaint you have. I experienced this pattern myself over a minor complaint. So, if you go to All American, hope that nothing goes wrong because there is no "customer is right" with Pat.

I found All American by referral from a AAA tow truck driver that came to my rescue when my car broke down just a month after a bad engine replacement job at a different repair shop in Napa late 2016.
When my car was looked at, they found multiple issues from the engine replacement (again, that was at a different repair shop) and I had $2,000 worth of work done to make my car safe to drive again. Immediately after leaving All American, my check engine light came on so I brought it back the next day to find that my catalytic converter needed replacing.

Pat and his team have been phenomenal in the two years that I've known them. For some insane reason I bought a 30+ yr old jeep to use as a daily driver and All American Automotive were the only garage that would even hear me out about the work needed.
They've consistently over impressed. They charge a really fair price, I've never had any issues with the work done after I've driven off - or that classic 'something else breaks days later'. The worst place in the whole world to take your car!!!!!

My husband took his car there today for a simple job in his Cadillac Escalade before our road trip to LA to visit family and friends.
After a whole day of waiting and awful costumer service the car was "said to be ready".
My husband brought the car home, we loaded the car with our luggages and our 2 babies.
We were driving to grandma's house when after 5 minutes in the car we see smoke coming out of the engine. It was the scariest moment ever in my life. I was afraid the car
