SilverSpoon Bakery is a dessert bakery focused on delighting our customers with artisanal, beautiful, and high quality cakes and desserts. Located in the heart of Portsmouth, Va., SilverSpoon Bakery and Gourmet Gifts, have been the staple for many events. From custom cakes to dessert tables, customers have been delighted for over 10 years.
C.C. Martinez, the owner of SilverSpoon, developed a passion for baking every since the Easy Bake Oven. She honed her skills at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, under Toba Garrett and the culinary program at Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Virgina. This childhood passion led her to the opening of SilverSpoon Bakery & Gourmet Gifts in 2005.

I tried several of the cupcake flavors. I wouldn’t say they are the greatest cupcakes I’ve ever eaten, but they are good. The price is better than other places in Hampton Roads where a cupcake can be $6. I see this as a good option for those on a tighter budget, especially on the $2 Tuesdays when each cupcake is only 2 dollars. I will assume the cakes are similar to the cupcakes, and the designs look good from the review pictures.
Overall, while not the best, the cupcakes are good and provide a great option for those on a tighter budget or looking for a bakery closer to this area of Portsmouth

Thank you Silver Spoon Bakery for delivering the perfect nautical cake for our wedding. Beautiful and delicious, Jef and I loved our almond flavored cake and it looked perfect with our beachy theme. My grandson is in the Navy at the naval hospital in Portsmouth. Although deliveries are not allowed on base, this wonderful bakery found a way to deliver cup cakes to my grandson. This is his first birthday away from home. Silver spoon Bakery went above and beyond to make his day special. Thank you so much

My husband bought me some cupcakes today for Teacher Appreciation week and when I say they truly blessed my tastebuds that's what I mean. He bought the banana pudding cupcake, strawberry lemonade, and red velvet. The icing on the strawberry lemonade was a bit too sweet for me but I LOVED the lemonhead on top and the cupcake was super moist. My hubby had the banana pudding cupcake and he thought the same...sweet icing but loved the cupcake and the banana pudding inside. The red velvet was absolute perfection!
