Flour Child Bakery

Flour Child Bakery always has delicious desserts. My favorite is their pies, especially the strawberry rhubarb. Everything I’ve had their is always wonderful and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Ordered all my pies for thanksgiving from Flour Child and they were perfection. We live way out in Chesapeake and have gladly made the trip to their location to get goodies when we want. Picked up a few Christmas treats too and all were so good.

Hands down best bakery in Hampton Roads! Their selection and variety makes them my go-to spot for sweet treats. I was even able to find gluten-free, dairy-free options for my coworkers. The desserts speak for themselves and the staff is always so friendly in person and over the phone! Thank you for the love and hard work that you put into your business!

I would include a picture but everything was so amazing I couldn’t get a picture in time. I have purchased a cake, cake pops, cookies, and the hot chocolate bombs; astoundingly delicious! I highly recommend everything and the best part is everyone is so nice and helpful!

For Christmas 2020 and 2021, the company I work for used Flour Child Bakery for beautifully made-to-order cookie trays that we gave out to our customer’s for Christmas. Each year Flour Child Bakery was super great and easy to work with! We plan to use them for the holidays next year as well. Additionally, our customers raved about the locally made trays and they absolutely loved them! Thanks for the great service and delicious treats!

Called yesterday to ask about placing an order. Was told the request was put into the system and someone would call me tomorrow to confirm if they could fulfill my order. 5pm the next day, still hadn't heard back, I decided to call and check in. Woman said there is no record of this and laughed when I explained the order I wanted to place (30 cupcakes).
An hour later then owner called me, not to apologize for the miscommunication, but to rudely inform me they aren't taking orders at all for the next three weeks, I shouldn't have asked on a day they already had 3 weddings (how should I know that

All deserts are good. Had the peach pie, cherry pie and some cupcakes. All delicious.

Recently had a very large order for cake pops and man were they delicious and gone quickly. We ordered the confetti and chocolate and both were amazing. I highly recommend Flour Child Bakery. They will work with you as best they can to make your order the best!

First time visitors!
So we sampled pie day! We bought one slice of each and shared among ourselves. Great taste testing! Each pie was absolutely delicious!
We were so impressed with their bakery and after looking over their cases filled with the most fabulous looking items we knew we'd visit again.
It is now my go to bakery for gifts for family, friends, or neighbors to just say hi or thank you. 🧡

As if I needed more reasons to love this even more than I always do. They created a beautiful strawberry flavored smash cake for daughter’s 1st birthday!! She really enjoyed it, and so did her mom and dad. Thank you so much for the memories! The unicorn cake is from a previous review (October 2020).
