In August of 1959, local farmer, Harry Fletcher at the age of 20, purchased the two year old service station. With a total of one part-time and three full-time employees tending to 4 pumps and 3 service bays, one of which was dedicated to washing cars for a dollar. They still had time to wave to every car that drove by on the two lane country road, Georgia Avenue.

I had a problem with my tire on my car, the tire pressure light
kept coming on even after i refilled it with air. I decided to stop
in here without an appointment. They were very friendly and quick
they said a nail was in the tire. They said they could fix it without
having to get a new tire, i am sure other places would have told
me i need a new tire and charged a big price. However i really appreciate
their honesty.
Definitely recommend.

We have always been satisfied with our car wash/interior cleanings in the past. However, today my son took his car in for a wash & cleaning and we are not satisfied at all. The outside is fine, but it doesn't even looks like they touched the inside. The interior wasn't properly vacuumed or wiped down of debris. I was so upset with what I saw that I didn't even check to see if the windows had been cleaned.

I scheduled on Monday for my car to get a MD auto safety inspection on Tuesday, to be ready by 11:00 am on Wednesday. I was promised this by Ted. I took my car to Fletcher's by 2 pm on Tuesday. I was told by the man at the front desk that he couldn't promise my car would be done by Wednesday at 11 am because, although I had an appointment for Tuesday, three cars had been physically dropped off on their lot on Tuesday before I got there, so he told me he couldn't guarantee the car would be ready by 11 am the next day as I had scheduled with Ted on Monday. AAA emergency road service towed my pickup there because it was closest approved shop. Huge mistake. The shop was closed, so I called the next day. Some grouch who picked up the phone was unhelpful. I had to make an appointment a week in the future to get my truck repaired (they hold your vehicle ransom). The repair was done correctly, but the bill was huge for a front brake job. They did not honor the 10% AAA discount (tough luck buddy if you want your car, pay up). I had to use get a ride from my wife for a week for a job that should have been done in a

fix my car. Would take "some time and money" but it could be done. $274.00 later! Claimed they could NOT fix the problem.
" Take it to the dealer!" Pitiful.
Another time requested a tune-up on my Firebird. Told them some of the parts needed to complete the service were located in the trunk. Told me that the additional parts would not be covered under their warranty.
On Firebirds with Corvette engines you need special service

I go out of my way to get gas from Fletcher's. They have great staff, and great service. Along with the gas station, they have a fantastic car wash with incredibly thorough staff that take great care of your vehicle (TIP: You can get a car wash at a discount, if you pay for it at the pump first!).
I will be trying out their detail shop this Spring and will update my review accordingly.
My absolute favorite thing about this location has to be the fact that they do not charge for air. I know its small, but it's really the little things like this that will bring me back again and again

I brought my car for Brakes inspection and was told that I need new brakes, that my brakes were shot and that I shouldn't be driving the car as is. I made an appointment to have my breaks replaced for the our months later, I heard a concerning noise coming from my front brakes that alerted me. I brought the car in to Fletcher's and was advised that the front brakes needed replacing. I expressed my frustration to Ted, the manager, but he said these things happen. Typically I don't review gas stations unless there's something that makes them exceptional. I had an exceptional experience at their car wash the other day - so much so that I thought geez I really need to review them on yelp!
I got the $28 deluxe wash and asked if they could pop the hood and trunk to remove the leaves and other tree debris that gets stuck in those nooks and crannies thanks to the ancient tree I park under. They did an INCREDIBLE job and my car looks good as new. Super happy with their work! I've never actually asked them to do this before so now I know.

This is my favorite gas station in the area. BP usually has the best gas prices especially with my rewards discount. I can count on this station to be open when I need it and it's never too overcrowded. It doesn't matter what time of night I visit I always feel safe at this location. The attendants are usually alert and when I go inside they are always friendly. The location is convenient and has a car wash that is frequently used during warmer months. There's also a repair shop right next to the gas station. I often see customers getting air for their tires too. Overall I prefer

Terrible car wash. In my opinion, the price is high but the service is half-assed (excuse my language.) Speed over quality. I paid for an in and out car wash and the car came out at rapid speed. The only problem was the dashboard was still dusty and didn't appear to be vacuumed. I have also left before where the guys did a terrible job drying and the car was covered in streaks.
As far as the station goes, it has a spacious gas pump area, a small convenience store which you can order freshly made items from a limited menu, and an auto shop. I've always enjoyed the community messages

I used to live in Olney and Brookeville years ago, so whenever I'm in the area, I HAVE to bring my car in for a wash! These guys (Fletcher's) have been here foryeeeears!! They have done an awesome job at keeping up with the ever-changing needs that have come with the development in Olney.
This car wash is open and running efficiently every time I come here. They get you in and out very expeditiously and with a super clean car with extra shine
