Famed artist Lon Megargee created The Hermosa Inn in the 1930s as his private escape before opening up to guests. All these years later, the ownership has changed, but our luxury boutique inn retains that original intimate feel, complete with homey touches: Lon's original artwork hanging on the walls, a flourishing garden, upscale furnishings throughout.
This boutique desert hideaway welcomes you into a lushly landscaped retreat, where our 43 hacienda-style guestrooms and casitas are individually decorated in warm, Southwestern style. Fireplaces, secluded patios and vaulted ceilings add to the relaxed appeal. The best thing about the Hermosa Inn is the rooftop bougainvillea, but if you’ve seen the bougainvillea along highway 51 in Central Phoenix don’t waste your time. Want your guests to have difficulty finding the parking lot sans valet? The Hermosa Inn is for you! Set within a residential neighborhood that’s desperate for visitors, The Hermosa Inn is uninviting and pretentious. Visit The Wigwam in the West Valley for a better history, and a better all-around value. Blech

Had brunch at Lon's. Eggs Benedict-yokes were closer to hard boiled eggs rather than poached, 2 paper thin pieces of Canadian bacon and the hollandaise sauce was flavorless. Out of 8 poached eggs and our table, only 1 was prepared correctly! Food was 1 star, the service ok, but the patio ambience was great.

I was very underwhelmed by my visit. The atmosphere was nice but that’s it. The food was bland, cold, and flavorless. It had absolutely no seasoning to it. I expected a lot more for a $48 dish. The plating was nice, but that was it. It didn’t even come with the sauce that the menu said it was supposed to. I was really disappointed. It’s definitely not going to be on my list to visit again.
