Our first daughter was born at TMMC and five years later we returned for our second. Amazingly some of the same nurses who helped us years ago are still on staff and assigned to us again. It is so nice to see them again and always a good sign when medial staff stick around. Everyone up in labor & delivery and the mother and baby unit is so caring and helpful which is all the more amazing given the Covid situation. One slight issue- they no longer allow patients to keep food in their refrigerator and you now have to heat meals in the employee break room. Because no one other than spouses

I went to ER because Blue Shield nurse adviced me. I was afraid to go but I went because I'm dying slowly due to advanced pancreatitis and if that wasn't enough I have advanced AR that attacks my organs and is closing the opening in my spine. it has traveled up from C5 to C4 in less then a year. I maybe have a year or 1/2 if the pancreatitus doesn't do me in. I also have severe stenosis in my back. Something happened to me that caused my back to spasm and the pain was so terrible....unrelenting....i couldn't even walk. it kicked off my pancreas so it wasn't working so

My review is for L&D and the Mother & Baby PP unit. I was anxious because this is my first pregnancy and I wasn't able to tour the unit due to Covid, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I had a really great experience, the nurses were amazing! They were knowledgeable, helpful and caring. The suites are nice too, which is great when you have to be in a hospital for a couple of days. So glad I had my baby here!

We took my little 2 yr daughter last Thursday on September at the E.R.. i was a bit hesitant but she was on pain and uncomfortable and i was worried more about her catching covid. There are protocols and safety and they have separate place for people who has covid so its pretty safe, so people please do not hesitate for your own sake! Triage was pretty fast and they took her in right away for vital signs. She has history of seizures and making decisions to go to er is the best for her. Staff are nice and a great bedside manner specially my daughters nurse Mo. She just have a charm with kids. My

This place has the right people working for them. I was admitted to the emergency room and the stellar healthcare has not stopped. I have been placed in an annex area because there is not enough beds right now. My procedure is at 17:00. I will tell you what the care here is incredible. Alfred is the kindest and considerate person I have met in a hospital. Alfred is one of the RN's here.
He has explained everything that is going on with my case. The team here in the annex is really working hard and it shows. The manager Kim is showing a great example of things should be done. Leadership

Don't forget. Hospitals are a business. If they treat you poorly you have a choice to go somewhere else. In this case the nurses didn't make me feel comfortable. Right around the time I hard the two nurses snickering to themselves "oh this one is going to be fun" I stelarted to feel uncomfortable spending my hard earned money with someone who wasn't cognizant about my situation, which was dripping blood out of my forehead.
I ended up going down the road to their competitor with Torrance medical urgent care. I had asked the nurses at providence if I should just go

I took my 10yr old daughter to the ER for vomiting and severe acute lower abdominal pain. Arrived at 1:00 and was brought into see the Dr around 2:30. It was crowded but they were constantly calling names and trying to service everyone. The indoor waiting room was filled so we waited at the outdoor patio area. Plenty of chairs and shade. By 4:00 we got an ultrasound and the ER Dr. James, discovered it was much more serious and urgent then we all thought. Was in surgery with Dr Bliss by 6:00 and she was on the road to recovery. All the Nurses and Dr's were all wonderful and caring. Thank you

As a patient myself, I have always had nothing but good things to say about Torrance Memorial. I had surgery here years ago and it was a very pleasant experience. This review is for an ED visit on July 29 in which I had to bring my mother in for eye pain and acute vision loss. The wait time from her being triaged and then taken to the back to a bed was actually not bad. That was a plus and also the nurse (I believe Luisa) she had was very nice. This review is for the physician that treated my mom; I am not leaving this review to try to get anyone in trouble because I know the "physicians are

Although I appreciate the care I've received at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, I am appalled at the practice they have in place where you can have the hospital as in network for your insurance but receive out of network charges for the ER physicians.
I unfortunately had to go to the ER a few times over the last year. I selected the hospital because it is in network for my PPO insurance, but every time I received an out of network charge for the ER physician visit. Apparently, the ER physicians are contracted and are not required to accept in network rates for their services.

The worst customer service from the nurses!
My grandma was recently admitted to this hospital. The nurses have bad service and are hurting my grandma emotionally and physically. My grandma has been bruised and left to sit in her own feces for hours. She is shamed when she asks for simple things, such as a blanket, ice, to be changed etc... the nurses are emotionally abusing my grandma to the point she feels embarrassed and to ask for anything, or having to even speak with them. I've witnessed the nurses state contradictory things to what the charts in the room say. The nurses on the floor

I went to the ER tonight (11/13) for chest pains and I had to leave my family (wife and son) in the car because I personally didn't any COVID exposure.
I walked to the ER and was met by a cheerful face before the doors. They swapped out my mask, took my temperature, and gave me hand sanitizer. All with smiles and great greetings.
I was checked in swiftly and courteously. Angel was wonderful with my EKG, David was all smiles for my Chest X-Ray, and Sara my nurse was all smiles.
This was the PERFECT ER visit. I made sure to tell the Lead Nurse and she got goosebumps!
Thank you for everyone

My grandmother, cousins, and I have all been admitted to this ER department at some point in time over the years with no complaints. Always had a positive experience for each visit.
This is the first negative experience. My dad was admitted to the ER experiencing a plethora of symptoms. As a preemptive measure, my mom requested a CT scan or an MRI, but they initially didn't want to. Dazed and confused, my dad misspoke about not having insurance. My mother corrected that info roughly 3 hrs after admission, and the doctor(s) wanted to discharge him without further testing because there were
