We are a diverse group of over 400 independent mental health practitioners serving Washington and Oregon. Our mission is to create access to high quality mental health care for our community. Each licensed mental health professional that is a member of Mindful Therapy Group is a separate, independent business.
Beginning your journey towards better mental health can feel daunting, but in starting your search you've already taken the first step! Many people don't know exactly what they're looking for when they first start out, and that's okay. It can help to think about why you want to start therapy, and make a list of those reasons.
When we are setting up your initial appointment, we'll collect credit card information from you to be stored in our secure software. Your card will be charged for your copay or coinsurance amount after each Telehealth session. Clients participating will need Zoom video conferencing software downloaded on a computer or cell phone and a quiet space to talk privately--that's it!
Mindful Therapy Group works with psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners who can prescribe and manage psychiatric medications. Your medication management provider will work with other medical professionals, such as your Primary Care Physician, in order to ensure continuity of care.
During your first appointment, your provider will typically conduct an evaluation - including a review of your medical history and previous medications you have taken - and make a diagnosis to aid in prescribing the correct medication.Providers may or may not prescribe on the first visit, depending on their assessment.

This therapy group is the most problematic and dismissive organization I have ever come into contact with. For a "therapy" group, it is incredibly ironic that they have caused me the most distress I have had in a while.
I have had multiple billing issues with Mindful Therapy. To begin, they attempted to tell me my account balance was not what it actually was, which caused me excessive stress when attempting to manage my finances. I attempted to contact them and explain my payment history and I was dismissed and rudely told I was incorrect. Eventually, they admitted they were wrong and

Wasted over a month of my time scheduling. Multiple incompetent "intake coordinators" failed on multiple attempts to schedule therapy and assessments for my children. I was scheduled twice with one doctor who told me on the day of my child's assessment that she didn't perform the services she was scheduled for. Her emails all says she does. Got another "therapist" who claims she "doesn't work with past trauma". So what exactly do you do? What an unorganized waste of time. Hey thanks guy for adding months of suffering and multiple false hopes to my daughters

I was looking for a therapist to see outside of my college's counseling center and was recommended by friend to check out Mindful Therapy Group. MTG called me back almost 24 hrs. later after filling out their online application; which is incredible, because most offices take weeks to send you an EMAIL back. They walked me through my insurance and billing process, which was very easy and helped me find 'the best' match in a therapist. The therapist I was matched with made it very clear that if I did not think we would be a good match I can choose to leave their care and find someone else at MTG

Beware - Questionable Practices.
I provided 2 stars because I've had a reasonable experience with the provider. Visits are very short, but seem genuine.
The collection practices of the office team are troubling and disrespectful. To note, all providers deserve to get paid in full. This is their career and they should be paid for their knowledge and expertise. Please note the negativity of the experience.
The minute you get off the phone, the staff emails you to demand payment, without providing payment terms or actual due dates, stating it's due immediately. Further, they are unwilling to work

I have never been treated so poorly. Both my psychiatrist, Dr. Laurie Weston, and the office itself have been completely unresponsive. Dr. Weston says she'll refill prescriptions, but only partially does so or messes it up and then cannot be contacted. She does not respond to pings from pharmacies. The front desk phone only goes to voicemail and does not ever answer a call.
This service is at the level of medical malpractice between the lack of communication and the messing up of medical prescriptions. Do not use this business.

3 stars. Would rate higher but have had some issues with communication from some arnps. Dont want to name drop here. Had issues with billing. They kept charging and charging my card. My old card which was inactive only for me to finally get a call from my therapist and not the front desk about my back balance owed of 386$. I paid it all off. Front desk at this location is honestly quite terrible and never get back to you. The first person to answer will say can I place you on a brief hold.? They then do that and you will wait up to 30 minutes sometimes. I will say that I have seen my regular LMHC

The front desk is awful. I will not be returning because they are terrible to deal with.
My second appointment I arrived 15 minutes early, per their appointment guidelines. Waited 30 minutes past my appointment time (45 minutes total), only to find out the therapist had canceled all of her appointments that day. News to me.
On a separate occasion, I told them my dog died the night before so I would like to cancel and the only response I got was "$100 to cancel". Wonderful way to speak to someone at a clinic devoted to mental health. I'm ok with the idea of a cancelation fee, but

I reached out to mindful therapy hopeful to finally get my mental health back on track and was really excited! I was wrong for that because now I am stuck with an almost 500 dollar bill. When I called to book my appointment I asked in case my insurance didn’t cover what would I be charged? I was told around 175 and I was okay with risking that. I ended up going to two appointments before being told my insurance actually wasn’t going through and so I canceled my third. When I got a statement from them it was double what I was expecting and they lied during the intake because I know I would never

I've had a great experience with both the Intake/Office team and also the therapists. Everyone was attentive, understanding, and patient. All the employees are super nice on the phone that I interacted with and answered all my questions. It was nice to feel like there wasn't a lot of hurdles to jump over in beginning therapy, and the remote option worked really well for me and my schedule. Was easy to keep consistent, which of course is important. I really appreciate the service! Thank you.

Let me start off by saying that I regret how often I have referred people to Mindful Therapy Group. My care with my Psych quickly went down hill after our first visit (Dr. Carron Cherrie), she would often send prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy, try to pass the responsibility of prescribing medication off to my neurologist and just didn't really ever seem to be engaged during our appointments. When I reported to her that the medication I was on no longer seemed to be working for me, her response was "Why don't you just go off it then?" - No questions about why it wasn&apos

Nancy rider. is probably THE WORST PSYCHIATRIST I HAVE EVER HAD IN THE LAST 10 years. This provider does not care about the well being of her client. She does not respond to you. Doesn't check her emails, her text messages. Her phone calls. She's constantly not being proactive about the medication. And when she doesn't want to do her job she drops you as a client because she has the capability of doing that. It's very black and white and obvious when you see someone doing their job because they love it. Or Theyr doing their job for selfish intentions. It breaks my heart because

I'm writing this on behalf of a loved one who has been seeing a psychiatrist at Mindful Therapy for almost two years. I've witnessed the absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional treatment that she has received here by the psychiatrist she has been seeing. The lack of communication between the provider and client is outrageous, especially when the people who work here get upset and argumentative with you for not communicating?
When asking genuine questions and reaching out politely, we were met with harshness, a condescending attitude, and insults. What a joke, for a place that supposedly prioritizes

What I think is the brilliance of MTG is that everyone is invested in my well-being. For example, I recently came to the hard decision to switch from my current therapist, who is out of my insurance network, for a therapist in the MTG. To do this, I called and spoke with Jamie and shared this information and then discussed broadly the issues I’m using therapy for. Jamie was empathetic, considerate, and most importantly knowledgeable enough of my insurance and the therapists on hand to find a provider whose expertise matched the issues I’m in the process of exploring.

The therapists here only care about money and pushing pills. They will do more work trying to get you onto different pills than actually trying be a therapist. I cannot even begin to explain the lack of effort that these therapists show. If you’re thinking about seeing a therapist, go anywhere else. Specifically the therapist in the picture below.

I was referred here by my PCP. I sent two emails and called on time; they never returned either email or my phone call. They could have at least responded, stating that they were not taking new clients, or otherwise were unable to help me. Really disappointing, especially from a clinic that claims to practice mindfulness.

Like others who have posted here, I also had a very disappointing experience with this group, and found them and the therapist I worked with, to be more interested in getting paid than delivering quality service to their patients.
More disappointing was my one and only teletherapy session with a therapist there. I'll not post the name here but message me privately if you want to know her name. She was late to the meeting. She seemed distracted during the session. She told me if she received a call from someone for a private matter, she would have to answer it. She spent a significant

I am sad to say that I did not receive the best help when I called to arrange an initial appointment. The intake gal was cold sounding. When I found that I had to wait three weeks for an appointment I expressed that was a long time for me, she didn't follow-up with questions about if I am ok, do I need a crisis line, do I have people to support me right now, do I need a phone call from someone. Many many things she could say to show compassion. I got silence.

The following is all my opinion and what I have seen. In my eyes, things are getting worse still. Not only are there still billing office issues/confusion that are completely unnecessary/frustrating/wasteful of our time but the biological mom (who forces the children to go here) has said that the kid's therapists 'do not recommend isolation' when asked about having in person playdates during this pandemic and stay at home order.

I really enjoy Mindful Therapy Group! To start, their offices are very beautiful and welcoming. It's a great space, which I believe it a key thing when it comes to mental health services. As someone who gets very anxious when going to appointments, I really appreciate the welcoming energy of their front desk staff. It helps make you feel like this is a place you can confide in, if that makes sense. I also really enjoy my doctor, Naomi True. She is very kind and makes you feel comfortable within just a few minutes of meeting her. And from what I can tell, this is very common with the doctors at

Let me get this straight-- not only do you solicit reviews from clients, but you also respond to them?? C'mon Mindful Therapy Group, watch your ethics.

I have loved working with Mindful Therapy Group! The staff are all very helpful and supportive, and are very knowledgeable. They work hard to match clients with providers, and consider a lot of factors when placing clients with someone who will be a good fit for their needs. In my experience, they are very flexible and are always willing to do what they can to set you up with someone who will be a good fit! I have been to several of their locations, and the office space is always well maintained and just a generally relaxing environment. They have a diverse group of providers, and sincerely care
