Capitol Benefits is an "old style" business... you know... good customer service, fast turn-around on issues, you get to know their people by name, etc.
For years I was forking over money to our Nationwide agent, having emails ignored and just a "call the 800" number attitude. I found CB through here (Yelp) about 2 years ago and have been with them since.
The hard data: Prior to the switch I was paying about 3500/yr, and with CB's help, this has now dropped to about 2500/yr, with nearly identical policies and much better service.
The nitty gritty: when I first contacted

I can't say enough about Alan Putterman and the service he has provided us. He found us a new homeowner's policy that gave us more coverage, a much lower deductible and it was much cheaper. He went out of his way to make sure that we understood everything about the policy, and walked us through all of the paperwork that was needed. His service is top notch and I wouldn't hesitate using him for any other type of policy necessary. He knows his stuff and is as honest as they come.

This company has independent insurance agents, who are honest, knowledgable and experienced. It's a pleasure to work with them and being able to trust them! They work with most (if not all) kinds of insurance (from life to travel) and insurance companies and will give you the best price and excellent advice as well.
