I'm giving this 4 stars because everything was fantastic but the window unit would cool down the small room. Other than that super cool stay. We didn't see any ghosts, maybe next time. Beautiful hotel, friendly helpful staff.

I had the best Ruben I have ever eaten, paired with a great honey wheat orange lager! Great atmosphere! I always love a historic hotel, but one with food this good is a gem!!

We are from New Orleans where the food is always good, so it’s hard to impress us but this place definitely did. We had the pretzel bites w/beer cheese, Chicken Skewers, Chicken fried steak, Ground Brisket… Burger, Pierogies, and Spinach & Artichoke flatbread pizza, all of which were great! And to boot, we had the best server/bartender, Nikki, we have met in awhile, you definitely should request her when you go!!

Great Reuben! Nice atmosphere. Staff is always attentive and friendly! Other amazing eats: Cobb salad, lamb skewers, spinach dip! You won’t regret traveling back in time to this quaint pub! Do yourself a favor and take a quick stroll through the hotel lobby!❤️

This is not a hotel, it is a motel. It is in line with a 1-star hotel and I would quote it at $50/night. I am honestly disgusted that we paid $300 to sleep in squalor. The photos on the site are not an accurate depiction of how it actually is. My husband and I stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding in the area. At first, I felt like I was checking into the Tower of Terror, which was cool but the second I saw the room I wanted to check out in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, we had to stay there because everything in the surrounding area was booked. The hallway had old furniture randomly placed

In celebration of our 35th wedding anniversary, we decided a trip to New Braunfels was the perfect way to commemorate the occasion. Because we're in the time of The Plague, we made sure to do some research before committing to the trip. Since our top five places to visit appeared to be open for business, we contacted The Faust (a place we've stayed many times) for accommodations. While the price seemed quite reasonable, our experiences made it less so. We knew going in that our room would be small which is not unheard of in historic hotels. We were made aware that the bed would be a double

A hidden gem in New Braunfels
The restaurant at the Faust is one of the best food experiences in the area. I've not been disappointed in anything on the menu. The mini hotdogs being a favorite. The service is great, the selection of cocktails and beer are outstanding. The atmosphere is laid back and old school, a perfect compliment to the hotel.

What a sweet spot .
The service was amazing , Nikki was very attentive without checking in too often .
The charm of the building is almost as good as the service was .
Food was good , yet a little more variety towards a more German cuisine ( though they have a good amount , I missed famous dishes like spƤtzle).

The Faust hotel is a superb place to stay for over night or through a vacation stay. The staff is absolutely wonderful and anticipate the needs of the guests. Dana at the front desk receives guests with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. She really worked with us when I discovered I had completely messed up my reservations. The brewery and restaurant are great too. A fun place to have a meal and a refreshing libation!

A room at the Faust gives you the feeling of going back in time. For a specific kind of jaded business traveler, or a couple who don't want to bother going all the way to Europe, this hotel is super cool.

The bar has character, Dana and the staff are just quirky enough to remind you life isn't all about money. (In case you forgot.)

Room was very clean - on the small side as others have said, but as long as you are aware of that in advance, it should not be an issue. Room includes iron, ironing board, small closet, TV with cable, coffee maker,

Another minor thing to let people know about is that the lobby is a tad on the musty side. No big deal, just be aware of it.

Staff: VERY friendly and VERY accommodating - if you have any questions ASK them!

Building is very historic and the lobby is really the bomb diggity.

There is one computer and printer in the lobby for the occasional business use by customers.

I would not stay at this hotel again. Some of the antiques in the lobby were interesting but the rooms just felt old. The a/c and bathrooms were severely lacking. However the reason I won't stay here again is their utter lack of customer service.

I pulled back my comforter on my bed and saw a huge brown stain. I posted a picture of it, if you're curious. It was right near the top and I'm not sure how the cleaning crew could've missed it. So I called down to the front desk and told them about the issue. They said, well the cleaning crew has already gone home. So I asked her

2 stars for the restaurant and brewery ONLY. The bartender there was very knowledgeable and made excellent cocktails, and I tasted some of the food that my friends ordered and it was all delicious. If I could review the restaurant and bar separately, it would get 4 stars.

About the actual hotel: DON'T STAY HERE, TRUST ME. It was awful. I paid extra for the Executive King room, but there was nothing nice about it. The furniture was so old and gross, with disgusting stains on it. The bed was not comfortable, and the sheets were very low quality. They didn't even have a fitted sheet on
