Aquatic therapy is rehabilitation that is performed by a licensed physical therapist in a heated, aquatic environment. The therapeutic temperature and buoyancy of water reduces the amount of stress on the body and allows patients to perform exercises with less pain. The resistance from the water provides a great environment to effectively recover and regain strength.
