Purgatory Cellars Winery was founded in 2014 by winemakers from Croatia with an absolute passion for making high quality wines, and a sincere love of Colorado and Colorado grapes. Their dream is to share the joy and happiness of fine wine in a European setting with their community and members. Around 90% of the grapes used at the winery come from hand selected Colorado growers.
Our award winning wines are hand crafted - beginning with crushing and pressing the grapes, through fermentation, aging, and bottling at the Parker, CO. Please join us at the winery or at any of our tasting rooms!

What a wonderful place. The decor is absolutely beautiful with authentic Croatian furniture and wine decor all around. The wine is fantastic. One of the only authentic Croatian Amphora winery's in the US. This place is an absolute jem and a must stop for any wine lover. You will not be disappointed.

We visited the Castle Rock location and really wanted to like it...but it seemed like every wine we tasted had been open for far too long as all of them tasted acidic and sour. We decided to not finish our flight. Totally understand wanting to use the whole bottle but maybe an abbreviated flight menu could help with this?

We absolutely love their wine. Great attention to detail and a great variety of styles. In additional to traditional styles, they also make amphora styles of wine, which is very hard to find, and also very unique and different. The service is always great, and Marko and Ivanka are fantastic owners. They also have a great atmosphere with lovely handmade wood furniture and accents in their tasting room.

Some may be silly to think that this was all I was poured but fear not! Not only was I poured an appropriate amount of this AMAZING Cabernet Sauvignon ice wine (my sweet tooth and palette were throughly satisfied), but I also didn't get a chance to take a picture before I had already nearly drank it all- silly me. 🤣🤣 We love this place! The atmosphere is amazing, music is great, the wine is clutch and the memories are endless! If you don't get a chance to visit this place any time soon you're missing out! The owners are amazing people, the staff is VERY personable and smiles abound at the

I was definitely skeptical of a winery in Parker, but what an awesome find! This is the only place in the city making Amphora wines (similar to the ancient Greeks and Romans). The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly; the wines were incredible and very unique. They’re also opening a tasting room in Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock, so will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this place. They have a great selection of locally made wines. The hosts were warm, hospitable and helpful in suggesting the best wines as per our preference. They also have a great cheese and raw meat platter. The ambience and the wine made it a memorable visit. This mom and pop shop could quite easily be the best winery in CO.
