Deep Roots Winery was founded on the values of family. As the saying goes "Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions but our roots remain the same". The love of wine was instilled in the Edenburn children at a young age. What began as a family tradition long before their time, finally involved them starting in the early 90's.
Deep Roots Winery & Bistro harbors something exceptionally different than your average winery. Amidst their clean decor, hospitable staff, and fragrant scents wafting from the kitchen window - superheroes walk among them. Only rarely are they called out by name, but more often than not, they walk among staff unbeknownst to their customers, possessing superhuman strength.
To be a family -owned winery that is known for our diverse selection of fine wines and unique pairings. At Deep Roots cellar, we aim to create quality wines and small plates that are distinctive to our unique style well appealing to our customers needs. We will foster the appreciation and love for wine through education and experience while maintaining family ownership, customer relationships, and pride in our product.

Other favorites have come and gone, but I'd rate Deep Roots as the best winery/wine bar in Denver right now. The space is comfortable and elegant, the wines are fantastic with an excellent food menu, and the staff is particularly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.
We arrived just in time for Happy Hour and started with $5 glasses (regularly $13!) of the delicious and complex 2016 Colorado Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a terrific wine. Far superior to the offerings at several other local wineries.
We then put together two $10 charcuterie/cheese boards from a selection of a dozen options. We

To be honest, the wines are OK. They taste good but you can also support other local bistros/restaurants/wineries that are better. Heck, some of them even have better food, which is crucial in a place that revolves around serving alcohol. You could tell the risotto wasn’t good risotto. Also, it seems as though the majority of efforts go into the wine and opening a second location, instead of insuring the food AND wine is on par, especially with the changing seasons. The atmosphere is typical for a downtown Denver spot, so there’s nothing that stands out about that. Overall, Deep Roots is just

AMAZING FOOD & WINE. My fiancé and I walk by all the time and have wanted to try Deep Roots for a while. We were excited to hear they were finally able to reopen from Covid restrictions. We truly had the best possible dinner experience last night! The owner and winemaker took such great care of us. They are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The charcuterie, salads, pizzas, and wine were absolutely to die for. I highly recommend the Gewürztraminer! We are looking forward to returning and checking out their wine room in RiNo when it opens!

Pros: the staff is very friendly and are very knowledgeable about their wines.
Very nice interior design and atmosphere.
Cons: the food was ok. We were lured in by the design of the place but the food need to match their wines... definitively have room for improvement.
We ordered their baked brie... it was not a baked brie, it was more a lightly warm brie with minimal jam and their bread was not toasted.
However, the mushroom pizza was delicious!! Very thin crust because it was flatbread, lots of gruyere cheese and mushrooms.
The soups were tasty but they were not hot so we had to send it

Classy, industrial looking restaurant with unique wine selection. Family owned. Great for a fun outing downtown. Diverse way to experiment and try something little new and different. The wait was little long for food, I think it would really help to have so type of crackers/sticks out to snack on at the start to support wine drinking and wait on the food. Food was pretty good but not so good to balance out the wait.

Was taken here by my fiance for my birthday. The winery is very cozy, well decorated, and the staff are very knowledgeable! We loved talking to one of the owners about the process they go through to make wine while we were drinking our flight. All of the wines that we had were fantastic, and although we didn't eat there, we were impressed by the menu! We ended up purchasing a bottle of wine to take home. If you like wine, you must visit!
