A properly maintained vehicle is safer and more dependable, lasts longer and makes driving more enjoyable. That's why your Owner's Manual contains detailed maintenance schedules outlining operations that should be performed on your vehicle's components and systems at specific mileage intervals. Although some cars have an oxygen sensor "reminder" light to alert you when it is time to check the oxygen sensor, most do not.

Car batteries weaken during summer's heat, then tend to fail during the cold fall and winter months. I can't speak highly enough of how I was treated at jims. I had a bad oil leak and was losing coolant and took it to bear care down the street and they charged me 60 dollars to "clean and degrease" it to try and see where the leak was coming from, and couldn't say. All they told me was rear differential was leaking and they don't do that. Jims got me in and checked out every issue I mentioned having, topped off all my fluids FOR FREE until we could get appointment set. It turns out I had a cracked transfer case that was jb welded among other serious rig jobs done to my truck. Brian at jims diagnosed

I've been taking my Subaru here for years. It's the only auto repair business I've ever fully trusted. They will do a complete maintenance check of your car at every oil change and tell you exactly what you need and even better, what you don't need. They don't try to sell you anything and put no pressure on you at all. They give you the data and their recommendations and let you decide what to do. They've saved me a lot of money over the years because they'll be upfront about whether something needs to be replaced based on its actual condition and not just based on year of vehicle or manufacturer

Unfortunately, the woman at the front desk had a bit of an attitude with myself and the other 4 people waiting to pay because the credit card machine was moving slower than usual.
On a lighter note, my vehicle runs great (which is the most important factor).
I appreciate the gentleman I spoke on the phone with the few times with updates with my vehicle (very professional, pleasant with a thorough explanation of parts, labor, cost, etc.) though.

I wish they would put everything back like I had it when I got there. For example radio back on radio. Your board on your speed , not left on oil life. Before I leave I always have to get the young man that works on my car to change everything back for me. Otherwise this is a great place to go to they do a wonderful job.

Jim’s Auto Clinic is the best! Not only will they provide a loaner car so you aren’t inconvenienced, they will look over your car and not charge you at all. I have gone here several times and they always provide excellent service and work. If they can’t fix it they will refer you to someone who can. Highly satisfied every time I go there. Will continue to go back with any issues. This business knows how to treat their customers and I appreciate their honesty and business ethic. Highly recommend this business to anyone.

They did an amazing job diagnosing my car “shaking” when accelerating. They rebalance and aligned my vehicle for little charge and were very honest about the other options I had. They told me there were 3 possible better fixes that would cost and $800 but didn’t seem that my car needed it. My one complaint is that they did not let me know within the hour my car was ready, which costs me missed time at work. However 5/5 stars for customer service, honesty, and workmanship.

First time bringing my cars here. I was impressed with the communication between their service writer and myself. Cost a little more than possible dealer repairs.
But their thoroughness in evaluating, estimation and repairs is justified.

I've been taking my car here for over a year. Every repair has been significantly more costly than any other location. We even did car care club (not worth it). I've gotten several costly repair orders that I've taken somewhere else because they were cheaper. Charging more than $100/hour for labor alone. Plus parts (and an up charge on those too). I would not recommend taking your car here. If you do, call around and get estimates. You'll be paying top dollar for mediocre work.

Our car was in desperate need for some suspension work as it was becoming more unnerving and potentially unsafe to drive. I'd known about the issues for awhile and wanted to get the work done before the weather began to change.

Taking my car to the shop is up there with going to the dentist for things I dread. But my recent experience at Jim's was awesome! I was having some pretty serious engine trouble, and they got me right in and fixed me up in 24 hours. They gave me a loaner car while they worked on mine. Great communication. Of course it was expensive, but car stuff always is; you can't avoid that. But they came in $50 under the estimate, and sold me a coupon book that saved me another $30-$40. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I would strongly recommend this place! I know I'll be back!

Dropped my van off on a Thursday and didn't receive a call about it. Called Friday evening after still not hearing anything and they claimed they couldn't get ahold of me. I even had a second phone number that was on the side of my vehicle. They told me it wouldn't be ready for me until Monday. It was a belt replacement. After having my car for two days and not calling me, I had to wait until Monday evening to come get it. But still didn't receive a call! I called around 5 on Monday (today) and asked why no one had called me still, and the woman told me she didn't know

I am completely DONE giving this place my business. Our family has gone to this shop for years and given them thousands and thousands of dollars in business! Well, it ends here! This is the third time I have been completely shocked at this place! First time, I asked them to check my tire pressure, THATS ALL I asked, when I picked my car up from oil change they had done some kind of seal repair, without asking me and then charged me 15 dollars plus tax, to have it deflate in less than a week. The second time I was getting $600+ work on my car and was going to use a $25 dollar off coupon. I called

Excellent service. They are thorough and caring mechanics. I got them (specifically Phil) as a recommendation from a trusted friend for some car woes. Not only did they take good care of me, they also let me know what might need to be done soon and what could be put off a little while.

Always great service and pricing at Jims. I appreciate that they take pictures of issues and send a complete email summary of your visit. I have taken several cars over the years and they honestly track all issues and recommendations over time. Never pushy, just matter of fact and will even offer timing suggestions (this can wait, or that should be fixed right away). Nice to have an honest place to take your car. Highly recommended.

Always the best service - customer and vehicle wise. Always friendly and clean shop. Taking my vehicle here for over 10 years and only once did we have an issue with work - eventually found out the brake pads were not the right spec - not only did they diagnose and address the issue but they refunded the cost of the repair! No other shop would go that far for a customer. A+

They're nice... until they screw up. Then everything becomes the customer's fault.
I brought my car in a month ago because the clutch was making a weird noise. They didn't have a loaner car available, but they looked at the clutch and said it simply needed to be lubricated, which they did free of charge. I thought that was very nice of them. They said it would take 3 or 4 days for the lubricant to work its way through everything.
Well a month later the clutch was louder than ever, so I brought it back. When I dropped it off I asked if they would also have time to change the oil

I drive across town to have my vehicles serviced by Jim's Auto Clinic.
Excellent customer service is important to me and I'm willing to travel to get it. I trust the folks at Jim's to keep my car in top running condition.
The prices are fair but that's not what keeps me coming back time and time again. I know that I can trust the folks at Jim's and I can rely on any vehicle they service.

Jim's Auto Clinic has great customer service, but if you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to taking your car to the dealer, this is *not* the place. I've had estimates done by them that were in some cases 50% higher than other garages.
They would probably tell you that's because they use certified manufacturer parts, but judging from the large administrative staff (more than many garages have mechanics) and what seems to be a healthy direct mail budget, they've got a lot of needless overhead.
