Our approach at the The Kahan Center for Pain Management is to improving a patient's quality of life. We utilize current concepts in physical medicine, rehabilitation and pain medicine to decrease your symptoms, improve your lifestyle and promote optimum health. We feel that we must address the whole person in order to treat the patient.
Addressing only the symptoms without treating other underlying problems will only provide partial relief for the patient and will not make the patient well. We utilize medications, exercise, and emotional support to provide a positive environment and positive outlook.

I have never had anything but an amazing experience in the time (just over 2 years) that I’ve been a patient. There hasn’t been a provider nor employee that I’d have anything negative to say about, until today when I arrived at 2:12 for my 2:00 appointment. Although it was my mistake, I was under the impression my appointment was at 2:15. Once the patient coordinator offered to see what she could do, another staff member, Betty I believe her name to be, chimed in from the peanut gallery ‘she should’ve been here at 2:00’.

I saw DR. K for around 4 years, we never got around to fixing my pain, just refill my script and make the next appointment. When I wanted to come off of my meds I didn't get any help from him. He once did a disc a gram (sp?) with no anesthesia, I don't know if anyone has ever had one of those but, it is best when the patient has anesthesia. It's been a few years since I saw him, hopefully he's not as bad as when I went.

Doc Kahan is scary. I used to go there, but things seem to be unraveling in this office ever since they moved and he fired some doctors. One day he says he is taking all of his patients off of pain medication, next day he changes his mind, then weaning everybody off again. His patients lives are at stake, so lots of patients have a lot of anxiety when they have to see him because he is very inconsistent and moody and to me he seems to lack empathy.
He does, however, hire very well. Kim is the best PA around, the front desk staff is great.
