We, like you, want and expect more out of a Hocking Hills vacation. We're long-time visitors to the region, with an avid love of the region's rugged, unspoiled beauty. We enjoy relaxation and luxury too - who doesn't? - but in the past we couldn't find just the right place for our vacations. The places were either too far removed, too cramped for groups of friends, or lacking in some of the basic upscale amenities we desired.

The Grande Old World sits right at the edge of the carefully manicured ravine, it has a good view of the lake from the deck and great room. Situated on the 7 acre property we have engineered each position to ensure that every guest of the property has privacy.

Please see the review I previously wrote about this business. I leave negative reviews very, very rarely. But, as the holidays approach and I see adds for this business, I want to again warn anyone I possibly can to stay away from Cut Above Cabins and any of their subsidiaries. We are still in the process of filing complaints and litigation after nearly a year later

I have not yet been able to stay at any of Cut Above's cabins. But there customer service is beyond amazing.
My family has a wedding planned for mid September and we had our cabin canceled on us short notice. I reached out to them in a hail Mary attempt at securing a place for our family. I received a prompt response from Evelyn letting me know that they are unfortunately booked for our stay dates. What she did next was unbelievable. She actually sent messages out to their competitors to help find us lodging. What a top notch business and even better human! I couldn't believe she would

The owner asserts we did not notify her of the problem. This is false. The owner asserts I am the boyfriend of the person who made the reservation, that is false. As I informed her when we spoke the morning we departed by phone, I was the person's husband. The owner asserts that we left a 5-star review on their website. My wife confirms this is also false.

We stayed with a group of 10 adults and 4 kids. The person who booked the Cabin already wrote a review, but I still want to share my review.
Cabin was good. Most amenities were good. Hot tub was the highlight of the cabin. Location was good too.
Some amenities were a miss like lawn was completely covered in weeds, so kids can't really play there, internet was horrible.
Just the cabin would get 4 stars.
Big issue was the contract and communication with owners.
Guests need to sign contract which is not nicely worded to say the least. There is a charge for everything.(They literally have a paragraph

My wife has lived with PTSD for a very long time.
This host does not believe or support the idea that PTSD is a disability.
After a near fatal incident my wife was kept on a life saving device called ECMO. Since this hospital visit- it is not diagnosed as CPTSD. Our family has struggled with this for years. We have to be very careful with where we stay and how we go about things- as CPTSD is very complex.
My wife has had our dog Charlee task-trained- she is a service dog.. specifically trained to help her mitigate her disabilities, specific to her mental illnesses.

These cabins are a little slice of out of the way heaven. We stayed at the Chateau Lake Logan in the Steel Mill Industrial. The location is peaceful, wooded with views of Lake Logan is a perfect place to decompress. I work full time and am studying for my doctorate degree so coming here with my husband was the much needed recharge I was hoping for. Evelyn and the folks here are super responsive. The property is very well maintained and the cabin is gorgeous. We will absolutely stay again and looking forward to trying out their other properties.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Steel Mill cabin this past weekend and absolutely LOVED it!!! We are trying to come back before the summer ends to have another relaxing getaway. After reading the reviews, we have NO idea why people are complaining. Everything is extremely nice inside & outside the cabin...which is clearly why they have to have rules! We had so much fun! Thank you Cut Above Cabins for providing a wonderful stay. We will be back.

We just stayed at the Summit Lodge last week and had a great time. The property was is great condition. It is located in a great location. I had one questions prior to our stay and one question during our stay and Evelyn was quick to answer both times. Everything was in good working order. I would not hesitate at all to stay again at this property and would highly recommend it to others!

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. This is a very nice place to stay. I was looking for something more high end with interesting architecture and nice furniture/interiors. That's exactly what I got. You will have to follow various rules here, but that's why it's still so nice inside. It's very well maintained.

Last week, my family enjoyed a fantastic stay at Bella Casa, which is a beautiful lake front property with direct water access to Lake Login. The entire property is pristine and beautifully furnished with high end finishes. We had fabulous customer service from the owner (Evelyn) who was attentive to every detail. This is not a property to "trash and go" as there are rules associated with the rental, and it is clear that these rules are enforced. My wife and I recently stayed in the Loft at Lake Logan. I was trying to surprise her with a long weekend getaway and this was more them I hoped for ! We've been coming to the Hills for 20+ yrs and have been blessed to stay in some nice accommodations but the attention to detail here is outstanding. Evelyn, thank you for creating a special place.

The cabin was beautiful, lake logan was beautiful and hocking hills was beautiful. However the owner Evelyn is a crazy person. when we left there was a envelope on the counter where you can rate the cabin. I gave all 10s except for one 8, The 8 was because she was aware there was a group of 7 staying for 4 days. Laundry had to be done while on vacation to have enough towels to shower. It would have been no big deal except we were paying almost 500 a night to say at Belle Casa.

We loved this home away from home at the Avalon cabin. We felt immediately welcome here with the wonderful atmosphere and attention to details! And don’t get me started on that view! The panoramic view was just awesome! The beds were wonderful and new, it felt like a cloud! There was also an amazing car bed, our kids didn’t join us this time, but this will definitely be our next family spot!! Cut Above Cabins in Logan, OH wants to charge me more than the rate outlined in our legally binding rental agreement for extra guests. I have already paid a premium rate for a 3-night rental totaling $2,827.86 plus a $500 security deposit. I did not complain that the owner marketed the property as "luxury" yet we found many amenities broken or not as advertised. My family followed the rules and left the property in excellent condition.
