Every time I'm up in Salem NH, I make it a thing to arrive hungry because the food at Romano's Pizzeria is ridiculously good. It's become second nature at this point. There are so many things I haven't even tried yet... but what I have had.... was always the BomB. Philly Cheese steak, the meatball sub is omfg, pizzas. Etc. I ordered a large cheese steak & the thing was a monstrosity for its size. Easily the biggest sub I've ever purchased. I didn't realize they actually double the size of the large subs! 😅 😳 😅

This place used to have really good food but I’m sorry to say that they have gone way downhill… The last time was bad but this time was even worse. The portions are now really small and I asked for extra ketchup and they give me 3 tiny packets. So we ended up throwing the french fries away. Who wants dry food? And the prices have gone way up as well. Do you think that for $35 for 2 sandwiches (not subs but just sandwiches) you could get a decent amount of ketchup But apparently not!

Ordered pizza, fingers & fries for the first time here. Food was good at the time but it gave me and my friend a pretty upset stomach a half hour later. (I have an iron stomach so that’s hard to do). I see the raving reviews so I will give it another shot some time and probably try something else.. I will say that the customer service was excellent!

THIS PLACE ROCKS. And let me tell you why: no messing around with portion size. This is just an old fashioned: you want a large? YOU GET A LARGE. I mean, look at the photos I posted. Their large is 20 INCHES. For those that don’t do the maths really good - that’s almost two feet. And they don’t skimp on the meat. All for what I feel is a reasonable price. And it’s been this way for years. In a world where we’re paying more for less, Romano’s is keeping it consistent. Thank you, Romano’s!

Very great pizza! Very accomodating staff and neat little shop. They offer several soft drink options and even offering 2 liter options for several people. They have a very large menu ranging from pizza, subs, and even lobster rolls. They have roast beef and cheesecake as well. Very kind staff. The crust was delicious and perfect for those who like more doughy crust. I like a lot of sauce and it tastes really good, nice and garlicky and fresh. They even have a delivery option which is nice for when you don't feel like going out but still want a slice of Romano's pizza.

Always loved Romano's Pizza. Went here recently and my gf ordered a couple slices. Was looking forward to introducing her to the best pizza in the Merrimack valley, when the dude running the register separated her pizza with the hands that he had just used to take the money and make change with.
Still a fan, but they definitely need to train their staff better and adhere to safe food handling practices, but what do I know? I'm just a doctor.

Romano's is our family's favorite solid standby for those nights when we don't want to cook, or for when we have a gathering of friends and family to the house. They have amazing portions and an extensive menu with a wide variety of selections. The food is consistently excellent, especially their subs, and exceeds all expectations of a standard pizzeria/sub shop. It's clean inside, and the food is always served nice and hot (even when delivered). And finally, the staff are always very courteous, engaged, and on top of their game...whether it's on the phone, inside the store

I've been going to Romano's in Salem for a loooong time but after tonight I won't be going back. I ordered a chicken cutlet parm sub it was absolutely horrible. The sauce is different and the chicken they used was disgusting! The Chix cutlets use to be so good but not now, even the sauce is different! The steak and cheese sub was all soggy and the onions were burnt.

I basically only ever get the 20" italian sub from Romano's, and I am never disappointed. This this is comically, ridiculously huge and I love it. Taste-wise, meats are good, veggies are good, I wish they had slightly better oil but overall, it's very satisfying.
Price is a bit high at $17, but, you are essentially getting two subs, so it doesn't seem too bad.
I've tried their pizza and thought it was good. I'm planning on getting a whole pie at some point.
It's become a tradition of mine to always stop by here when I'm up in Salem, and I don't see

We've been searching for a new regular pizza stop since our last place closed about a year ago, and Romano's officially takes over as the #1 pizza at our house! The crust is sufficiently crispy but still soft (and not too thick), they are quite generous with their toppings (extra cheese all the way), and they deliver to our house (which is a big plus). They also have a really good cheesy bread that we have been ordering every time recently, too, which is something new we've never done before on a regular basis. The pizza is a little more greasy than we're used to, but overall

TL-DR: great pizza, but no masks.
Pizza is delicious but none of the employees were wearing masks behind the counter on Sunday. Overnight I've become a hypochondriac. I know there's some new loophole which doesn't require food service employees to wear masks (???! How?!) but I don't know if it was worth it. I hope it was and I didn't catch anything, but I'm genuinely very scared.

Closing is listed as 8:00 called at 7:30 and the response was a rude we are closed and a hang up. I would think closing means pick up before that time, maybe I'm wrong but the rudeness is unforgivable. Pizza is a okay, but chewy (much better reheated) subs are typically good but not in light of the poor attitude by staff, I wonder if ownership knows theey are getting shorted 30 mins. of revenue?

Insanely incredible pizza!!!! One of the best I've had in all of New England. I'd even go as far as saying it's better than Pizzeria Regina in the north end of Boston, which is saying something. I fully intend to drive the 40 minutes from my temporary home in Epping once a week to rip into a nice thin and crispy pizza from Romano's! Even the staff was awesome! Very friendly and eager to make your order perfect! Thank you Romano's in Salem NH!

It's my second time having their pizza. It's a dive with a few seats and a good menu ranging pizza to sandwiches. We stopped by to take out and they were fast. Ordered and was out on the way home in 8 minutes.
Had the chicken broccoli Alfredo pizza. Now my new favorite with their cheese steak pizza in a close second.
