At Atkins-Northland Funeral Home & Cremation Service, we are completely community centered. We pride ourselves on being the only provider in the area with a staff dedicated to community outreach. Twenty one area cooperatives were involved in the initial start up of the funeral home. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and approve the Articles of Incorporation and By Laws. In 1936, 21 area cooperatives came together to establish "Northland Cooperative Burial Association." Today, almost 100 years later, we continue to proudly serve the families in our community and help them navigate loss and honor their loved ones.

They did my Grandpa’s funeral yesterday and I was very impressed! From the canopy at the cemetery (it was raining), to the pretty way they bundled the cards, they thought of absolutely everything, and made it so easy along the way. They really allow everyone to grieve and celebrate their loved one’s lives and leave all of the details to them. Thank you!

I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do. I attended the funeral of a close friend of my mother's, and I was blown away at the compassion and professionalism of your entire staff. The facility is beautiful and very home-like. There did not seem to be an excluded detail to the entire service and meal afterward. Your thoughtfulness makes a difficult situation much easier to walk through.
