Please feel free to contact any of our staff members at any time. Leon Tillman was born in Georgetown, South Carolina in 1936. He is one of 15 children born to the late Benjamin and Ella Tillman.

The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

We selected Tillman for our fathers home going service and we couldn’t have been happier with our selection. The staff were very professional and understanding and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing service for my dad. From the point that they came to his home when he passed to the point when we had his service, everything was top class. We didn’t know what to expect with having a funeral during the pandemic and especially with him passing suddenly. Ashlyn an the entire Tillman staff showed up for us. I would recommend Tillman 100 times. They made it easy and made themselves

Very nice caring people. My experience with them was 10+. Employees Professional and attended to my needs when my mother passed. There is not enough words to express how my family and I was treated when my mom passed with the utmost respect. Thank you Tillman Mortuary for all the great work you do in the community as well.

My uncles urn wasn’t at the service , the flowers weren’t there , his back drop with his picture wasn’t there . And I had also purchased lockets and mini urns for the family they were still at the crematory. Lack of communication and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this mortuary I think we need to be reimbursed.

This was the most unprofessional going home celebration I have ever seen. My family and I was working with this company for about a month we went over everything thing to the cremation, the iron, the lockets, the flowers, and even a blanket with his photo on it. The day of my uncle funeral was a sad day for us and for the family and I to enter the mortuary and not see nothing we purchase was heartbreaking. Saying "Thank you" seems like it's not enough...even though there is cost paid for services render...Still it seems like it's not enough...Some things and some experiences the value of money doe not compared to. Thank you Tillman Mortuary, special thank you to Ashley Tillman who services me with the upmost respect, consideration, sensitivity and addition help outside of what she was required to do. The Tillman Mortuary made my husband look just like himself (Young & Handsome) the special gifts of remembrance and the catered food was OVER THE TOP. God Bless you Forever and Always!

Tillman is EMACULATE in their services!! When my mother passed, we originally had gone to another funeral home, not knowing any better. My grandmother, who has buried four loved ones over the years, recommended Tillman to us and from the first meeting with their staff until the last day when my mother was buried, our family was at peace knowing they were caring for my mom. When I say they made sure we didn't worry about a thing... WE DIDN'T WORRY!! Tillman took care of everything and went ABOVE and BEYOND with their sympathies, services, comfort and support. Just left a viewing of a Dear friend who was very ill. I dreaded going to view his remains .. But I needed closure. I was wonderfully surprised to see just how GOOD he looked, I've had the honor to groom a body for viewing before, and I know the work and SKILLS required, not to mention the APPROVAL of the FAMILY during the most difficult of times. I can tell you with heart felt appreciation that Tillman has provided awesome service to both me, my family and friends.
My only son was killed in 2005 by a drunk driver. I was in a state of utter disbelief, shock, grief and sorrow my Pastor suggested I contact Tillman and I did they step up and guided me with what was a tremendous amount of compassion, with kid gloves from beginning to end. I couldn't have been more grateful. From that day to this one, I share my story and refer anyone that the Lord put before me, in the lost of a love one, to Tillman. Thank you Tillman, I will forever be grateful
