Behavioral Care Solutions is a consortium of independent and individually selected physicians, psychologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and licensed masters social workers.

We are united and established to represent the highest standards of mental health practice, ethics and professionalism in the delivery of comprehensive, multidisciplinary services to the elderly and particularly, to the segment of older adults residing in long-term care facilities. Our management team has built over 75 years of cumulative experience.
Behavioral Care Solutions offers a multidisciplinary approach to psychiatric and psychosocial care for older adults and seniors. Our team of psychiatrists assist with overall management of residents within the facilities. They are also available for consultation and crisis intervention by telephone and video conference.
Behavioral Care Solutions provides comprehensive staff training and organizational services to facility staff as requested by management. Routine in-service training on current research and trends in geriatric mental health issues are provided to facility staff who support the work of the clinicians assigned to your facility.
Our Emergency Psychiatric Services Program has been designed to assist nursing home staff and medical teams in the management of acute psychiatric disturbances. Recent studies indicate that at least 50% of all nursing home residents will present with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Of those, many will exhibit agitation as their cognition continues to decline and as such, may require an in-patient psychiatric placement.
We're committed to evaluating the use of psychotropic drugs in an effort to ensure their proper utilization with residents of a nursing care facility. The use of psychotropic drugs is based upon an appropriate differential diagnosis of current behavioral symptoms.

Potential causes of the behavioral symptoms from environmental, psychosocial, and medical factors have been considered and ruled-out or otherwise identified and addressed through appropriate forms of intervention.
