The 2021 Frame of Mind Benefit and Arts Showcase features feature a year's worth of visual art Kadima members have created through the Creative Expressions Program. As an incoming junior studying psychology at Michigan State University, I had no idea what to expect when I got the call that I would be Kadima's 2021 JVS JOIN intern.
Kadima was my number one choice. She has gotten to know many of the members very well and has even taken on new students since the pandemic, when she converted classes. CARF is an independent nonprofit organization whose focus is to ensure services meet client needs for quality and the best possible outcomes.

Services
Kadima provides comprehensive residential, therapeutic and social services to all people with mental health needs as they move forward in their lives. Kadima was established in 1984 in response to deplorable conditions that existed in the adult foster care system.
In 1989, Kadima began to expand its housing services and now operates a continuum of residential services ranging from 24 hour licensed care, to community living supports for individuals living in their own homes.In 2001, with the support of many generous donors, Kadima successfully completed a capital campaign and purchased the Henrietta and Herbert Charfoos Kadima Center in Southfield which now houses the administrative and counseling services.

Kadima provides a continuum of residential, clinical and educational/outreach programs for members of the community with mental health challenges. Kadima provides a continuum of residential services that range from 24-hour care to independent living with supports. Each individual referred to Kadima receives an assessment to determine which.

While Kadima is not rated by Charity Navigator because they do not rate organizations like Kadima that receive most of their revenue from government or program services, Kadima has all of the financial documents and policies required by Charity Navigator in place and strives to be good stewards of the public and philanthropic dollars we receive to provide care to our clients.
