Camp Kawaga
There's something special, something different, something extraordinary about Camp Kawaga. It's what has made this home-away-from-home not only one of the country's premier boys summer camps, but something so much more. The fun never stops at Camp Kawaga. We offer a balanced, well-rounded program of more than 100 athletic and nonathletic activities, including a full tripping program.

Every camper finds his own niche at Kawaga. The action and smiles never end! Kawaga's facilities are second to none. Our site, surrounded by water on three sides, is a nature-filled sanctuary that has hosted 100-plus years of fun and growth. Our physical layout supports our culture of inclusion and family.
Services
Located on a picturesque peninsula in Minocqua, Wisconsin, Camp Kawaga is one of America's premier summer camps for boys ages 7-15. Kawaga offers a balanced, well-rounded program of more than 100 activities, including sports of all sorts. Our campers come from all over the country for either an eight-week or four-week session.
We design the program for so that each of the four-weeks sessions has its own highlights and special activities. No repeats! That's why four-weekers get the sense of a complete summer-camp experience and why eight-weekers enjoy the full timeline, leading from Day One to Banquet Night, our awards celebration the night before the boys take the busses back home.
As you'll learn from this website, we believe in letting kids be kids and creating a place for our boys to unplug and be the best version of themselves. We strive to create moments each day that define each summer. And from these moments come life lessons and life-long friendships. Kawaga is a place for your sons to grow by discovering more about themselves and who they can be.

Camp Kawaga is a one of kind experience for boys in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The camp is on the Minocqua chain of lakes and sits on a large lake front property. I went to Kawaga at 10 years old and have been there every summer since, starting as a camper, then a counselor and now as a member of the Alumni Association. For over 25 years, Kawaga has been one of the most influential forces in my life and it makes me so happy to see it thriving and still impacting so many lives for its more than 100 year existence.

Camp Kawaga is the most magical camp for boys run by the most amazing owners and directors! Coming off of an unprecedented season this year, they truly are so dedicated and passionate about making camp the most incredible experience for our kids. They provided a safe and healthy environment where the boys could be free, enjoy nature, play and compete as they always do- but were so diligent this year in going above and beyond. Cannot say enough good things about Camp Kawaga💙💛

This is a great camp filled with good hearted, down to earth, " menchy " kids. Great for kids who are athletic an love to compete ( but you don't have to be super star athlete here to fit in ). Very well run camp. Lots of sports competitions internally and with other camps. Lots of goal setting for personal growth of each individual camper. Lots of fun, creative evening programming. Daily activities are great and the facility is just beautiful ( that water front is amazing). Nice balance between structured activities and more non structured free choice activities/ down time. My

Incredible Camp
Kawaga fills all my needs for a camp. The cabins are nicely furnished, not too big, not to fancy, but still spice that rustic feel. Campers can socialize in the morning at different spots, like the famous piazza on the Sioux Hill. Breakfast is not rushed, and campers eat and prepare for the day. On to the activities. Kawaga has activities like Clubs, where campers can learn more about there activities and improve. They also feature Evening Programs, which is some campers favorite parts. EP's are incredible all camp games, each different on each night. Kawaga also does a very nice

Regarding the 1-star review from Mardell Hill...
Matt Abrams is no longer director of Camp Kawaga. Ms. Hill's son's unfortunate experience likely contributed to the decision to remove Mr. Abrams from his position at the camp.
My son has been going to Kawaga for a few years and raves about his experiences at camp.
He goes for 4 weeks and begs to go for the full 8 week session.

I spent 4 summers on the shores of Lake Kawagasaga. These are some of my fondest memories as a child. My son is on his 5th summer at camp with no end in sight. Spencer loves the camp, its' activities, fellow campers and counselors.

There's no better place to be. The experiences I had there have shaped me into the person that I am today, and I have seen firsthand how it has done the same for others. I could not be more grateful to have spent my summers on the Shores.

My son goes every year for 4 weeks and every year he comes back and asks if he can go 8 weeks. This camp has formed my son into an amazing young man. The directors, Matt and Dewey Abrams and very nice and very helpful. If you have a son, send him to Kawaga.
