Agawak means more to me than anything in the world! I love camp because of the fun activities. I cried the last night of camp with my camp sisters and start the camp countdown the day I get home. Located in the northwoods of Wisconsin, Camp Agawak is a premier girls' summer camp focusing on improving the skills and personal development of each Agawak girl who passes through our forested gates.

At Camp Agawak we have something very special to offer every girl that passes through our forested gates. Since 1921 our rich traditions, creative programming and fun activities have given thousands of campers the chance to discover themselves, grow positively and develop long lasting & meaningful friendships.
Are you interested in seeing what a summer overnight camp is all about, yet not quite ready for an extended stay? Then join us for one of two Agawak Rookie Camp sessions! We know that making the step to committing time to a summer overnight camp can be daunting, especially if it's your child's fist experience.
Family post camp at Agawak is a special time for parents and children to create a fun filled, memory making family vacation. Since 1972 families near and far have been attending our family camp where adults and children alike can enjoy activities such as canoeing, archery, tennis, trampball, fishing, skiing, tubing, campfires and much more.
As any good camp director will tell you, the key to a successful summer is the caliber of the staff. Implementing a dynamic program and maintaining a beautiful facility is only meaningful if our staff supports the mission of providing a safe and nurturing camp environment for our campers. The selection of quality staff is given top priority.
We are looking forward to this summer and all of the new trips & exciting changes we have in store. We have some great adventures planned and are very excited to meet all of you!. All of Agawak's tripping staff have extensive trip guiding experience which ranges from backpacking, hiking, openwater guiding- to wintersports, mountaineering, and international excursions among much more!

After 24 years (and counting), I can honestly say Agawak is the most well-rounded, fun and beautiful camp. With over 40 activities to choose from, a waterfront that will take your breath away, Agawak offers something for everyone. Rich in tradition and sisterhood, this camp is top notch and a very special home away from home!!

We just wanted to thank Mary and the entire Camp Agawak team for once again enabling our daughter to experience the most amazing camp ever. She, in her second year is an Agawak veteran and is just glowing over making new friends and all that she experienced this past summer. It is hard to fully comprehend the passion and commitment that Mary and her entire staff have toward the Camp Agawak experience, but once you have a child attend and see the sparkle in their eyes and the sense of community, friendship and leadership that blossoms as a result, you’ll know that you’ve made the right choice

Agawak is the best camp experience anyone could hope for for their daughters. Every Agawak girl benefits from a well-rounded camp experience, and they all come out of camp being a new and improved version of themselves. Owner and director, Mary Fried, cares for each and every camper and staff member as if they are her own child - her love for camp radiates through all of her campers and staff, and it is evident to all. Agawak is THE place to be. Highly recommend sending your daughters. :)

I have spent 10 summers at Camp Agawak and could not have imagined it any other way. Throughout my camp experience, I have bonded with girls and have made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. My past counselors have shaped me into the young woman I am today by teaching me lessons through independence, perseverance, and kindness. Not only is a Agawak a place where you can have fun, but a place where you can be yourself, and try new things. Through the wide variety of activities provided, The Agawak Staff makes sure that each girl can strive to be her best, and become passionate about something

Agawak is incredible! I could not think of a better, more nurturing place to send my daughter. The endless options for acitivites, wonderful staff, and unbelieveable camp grounds make this camp a home away from home. Mary (the director and owner) does an incredible job at running the camp and it is operated like no other. Agawak is the place to be!

My girls (6th and 4th grade) have been going to Camp Agawak for 4 and 3 years respectively. They adore everything about it - the activities, the grounds, the smell, the staff and especially the friendships! They, like I did when I was at Agawak, have made the most incredible friends at camp...friends who they know they can always count on in good times and bad. My girls truly live ten months for two. Agawak is a special place and any girl who gets to spend their summer there is so lucky!

My daughter has attended Camp Agawak for the past three years and it's her FAVORITE time of the year. When asked what she wants for Birthday or Christmas presents her reply is "I just want to go to Camp Agawak". The culture of the camp is one which allows the girls to be themselves, love unconditionally and be kind to others. In addition to learning many different "physical" skills, they also come back from camp having better "people" skills.
Our daughter is an only child and her Agawak experience has given her "Sisters". The friendships she has developed with her camp family has been priceless

This exceptional camp is truly a home away from home. There is nothing like Camp Agawak. The quality of staff, camp grounds, wide range of activities, and service is incredible. I would recommend this inspiring camp any day of the week. The value it brings to anyone who steps foot on its grounds is infinite.

Camp Agawak is a magical place! Our daughters started as young campers and can't imagine spending their summers anywhere else. The owner and staff have had a major impact to mold our daughters into confident young women. They have created lifelong friendships and they describe Camp Agawak as their "Happiest Place on Earth."

There is something very special about Agawak! My 3 girls have been going there over the past 7 years and will continue to for many more years - eventually becoming counselors! Mary and her incredible staff do a fantastic job building confidence, independence, kindness and respect. There are so many fun activities to choose from - there is something for everyone! My girls have tried so many new activities, appreciated new experiences and gained respect for the fun traditions that Agawak has carried on for almost 100 years. The entire staff provides a safe, comfortable and accepting environment.

I went to Camp Agawak forty years ago. Now my two daughters are going on their third and fourth summers. When we looked at overnight camps I promised myself I would have an open mind, but as soon we drove down Agawak Road I knew there was only one choice for my girls. Agawak is a special place where you make life long friendships and have the opportunity to try every activity you can imagine from early morning until long after the sun sets. There is teally no time for homesickness which is my daughters start counting down until the next summer at camp as soon as they get off the bus...impatiently

Agawak has truly changed my daughters life! My daughter is about to go on her 9th year at Agawak. This camp truly is her home away from home! The owner as well as staff have made this the happiest place on earth ( as my daughter says)!! They promote kindness, good values, sportsmanship, friendship, teamwork and endless fun. Going to Camp Agawak has been a magical and transformative experience for my daughter. Mary and the team not only care for the girls with love and kindness but they teach them to be strong, brave, caring and fun-loving at the same time. Agawak has become the best part of my daughter's year and the friendships she has made are strong enough to last a lifetime.
