My daughter has been coming here for a couple years now. We love the discipline they instill in the athletes. From making sure their shoes are lined up correctly, to doing sit ups or push ups if you are caught not following the rules (within reason of course). My daughter loves it here. Admittedly I was concerned when a younger girl was her teacher but my daughter has continued to grow in her care and I've never been concerned for her safety. The ability to make-up a missed class is such a great thing. The owners are personable and friendly when needed but strict and get down to the point when

We've been going here for a few months now and have watch our daughter get better, stronger, and more determined in just this short amount of time. When she started she could bearly hang on the bars, couldn't do some of the stretches without help and had a horrible habit of beating herself up and saying she couldn't do it. Now she loves the bars (even coming home from school saying she is going farther and farther on the monkey bars there), does the stretches on her own in the livingroom without any prompting and her whole additude about trying new things in and out of gym has improved. Yeah the

Our daughter came here for 5 weeks. Never wore a mask for 4 weeks and no employee said a word to us. The last class a male who works there ( who never wore his mask or was done on his chin) came and demanded my husband wear a mask. This mask mandate is useless. Employees wearing them “ wrong”. Companies need to stop being sheep and having customers and children wear masks make the company look silly. The masks don’t work, and when half the employees and children aren’t wearing them correctly it makes you look even more of a fool for continuing to demand someone wear one 🤣
So we will

My 7 year old niece is in a class here. I came to watch her practice and they have a 10 or 11 year old coaching her. It really looked like little girls playing at a playground. I think my sister should demand her money back. It's not cheep and how are they paying their help with fidgets? So bottom line this place is very unprofessional and dangerous to boot. How is a 60 lbs girl going to spot anyone?

I have signed up my son for a gymnastic class through Park District, without letting me know and without my permission, Corkscrew have put my son in one of their regular classes that run longer then PD class therefore they walk him out before the class is done. How do I explain to 3 yo why he is being asked out and not being allowed to finish the class with other kids?
We have missed one class and I have asked to keep him till the end of class instead of having a make up class. I was told that he will not get any make up classes and there is no way he could stay longer because he was signed up

Our experience at Corkscrew Gymnastics has been positive all around. The gym is in great shape and has a variety of equipment. We have worked with Coach Sam and I have only positive things to say; he is enthusiastic with the kids, patient when it is needed, as well as uplifting and praiseful when it is deserved. My daughter loves it here and we look forward to continue at Corkscrew!

If you plan on joining Corkscrew I would recommend a few visits, then visit other gyms in the area. Go when the team is practicing, take notes of how the athletes are treated. There’s a line of being a passionate coach and a bully. The head coaches at Corkscrew are bullies, their coaching style is borderline mental abuse, in fact, it is mental abuse. “Training aids”...Ask the head coaches what those are. A humiliation technique is what it boils down to. Mentally kicking an athlete when they’re down. Ask to speak to Rich, a co-owner. Ask why the team coaches are not involved with the recreational

Recently went here for a birthday party and could not have been more annoyed with the guy leading the party. The coach likes to talk down to everybody, he is very rude and should not be the one doing these parties! These kids are there to have fun, take a step back and don’t work with kids if you are just going to be miserable and ignorant! I will not be returning to this gym!
