I had rotator cuff surgery by Dr Jelsma. He is the best orthopedic surgeon in the area. Surgery went great and recovery has been even better, His assistant Billy is excellent as well. His office and staff are very efficient and take care of each one with care and compassion. highly recommend Dr Jelsma.

I went in to rectify knee pain. I had a torn meniscus. Dr. Jelsma performed a scope procedure. I was without pain for approximately 6 weeks. I then found out I actually have bone on bone and require a complete knee replacement. I believe a second surgery could have been prevented had the correct information been provided and discussed at my initial consultation.

Fractured the head of my radius while out riding my KTM 690 Enduro. Dr. Jelsma and his awesome staff took excellent care of me! Great bedside manner, all were straight forward and to the point, and treated me like royalty just like I like it! They casted me right up with the KTM and Harley Davidson colors to match! Hopefully I should be back out riding in a month or two! I highly recommend Dr. Jelsma for any orthopedic ailments you may have! The office is superbly clean and the staff made everything go smoothly. Counting down the weeks till I get this cast off and can ride again!!!

Had my knee scoped on a Thursday and was told I should be "pretty much back to normal" by Monday. Five months later I still cannot walk without pain and a severe limp. I saw another Orthopedic Surgeon after 2 months and he was careful not to knock Jelsma directly, but it was obvious what I had suspected. I got bad advice and a lousy recommendation for my knee. It can't even be rectified 5-6 months.
I wouldn't let Jelsma treat me for a hangnail now.

Fixed my elbow. I went through PT for about a year then re- injured it again so decided to have surgery. Took a little time to heal but haven't re-injured it knock on wood. Doc is very cut and dried - won't smooz you with a lot of touchy - feely stuff so don't go in looking for that but he sure seems to know what he's doing. He will most likely start you off with PT before he recommends surgery which is good.

I have been going to Dr. Jelsma for at least the last ten years and I personally think he is just wonderful! He is easy to talk to and I ask him questions and he answers them in full. He has a great bedside manner and I for one cant seem to find any faults with him at all. His office staff are all great and they keep the flow of the office going. I have never waited very long before I am called back to the examining room. all in all I can find nothing wrong with Dr. Jelsma and I am going to continue seeing him for any of my health issues.
