Drivers License Restorations through the Michigan Secretary of State (DAAD) has been around since 1992. Prior to then, you had to go to circuit court to get your license back after a number of drinking and driving offenses and subsequent revocation. Under pressure, the Michigan legislature took away circuit court's power to grant a restricted license.

Prior to my successful law career, I was a manager for a Fortune 100 company where I developed my practical knowledge and business acumen. Another WARNING,Don't hire this Yaya. He's far from professional. Read the reviews and of course he always puts the blame on his client. Never is he wrong, that should tell you about him right there. I hired him in Feb 2020 ( beginning of lockdowns, closings and covid pandemic) . I was unable to get my substance abuse evaluation until September 2020 (went past his 6 month time frame in contract) had all my paperwork sent in by October. He obviously never looked at it till I called him in December. Bottom line now in Feb 2021, he did nothing for me, the pandemic wasn't an excuse. It was for me because

I just called this place and while I was trying to explain why I called this man talked over me the entire phone call. I never truly was able to express myself because he kept trying to guess or finish my statements for me. Then still without truly hearing my concerns he told me my questions were weird while he laughed at me. So sorry I called this place!!!!!

It's a shame you have to give this guy at least 1 star in order to write a review, he's more like a -10 star! My personal belief after hiring him and (now) reading past reviews is that he is a predator and uses bait and switch tactics on his clients. He advises you of a certain cost, and tries to charge more for doing absolutely nothing. He fails to communicate, fails to stay abreast of current divorce law and fails to keep appointments. It’s a shame that I have to give Bo Schimers even one star in order to write a review. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of hiring this guy to do their research before retaining his “so called” services. I also would advise to research these reviews and seek out “real” clients and not friends or business associates who gave reviews on Google. I find Mr. Schimers to be incompetent and a completely dishonorable attorney who fails to keep his word or the terms of his agreement. Check out Ripoff Reports, Avvo, Birdseye, Yelp and Facebook. Do not hire this guy! He is incoherent and not prepared. He laid everything out before he got his retainer. After that he delayed talking about a report he needed. He did call me twice and left a message for me to give him a positive review about getting my license back. I hired him for a custody case! After a while he threatened to withdraw with… no refund cuz he had no report for mediation. After asking him if this is mediation, I told him I already did a mediation and it didn't work. I also told him lawyers aren't required for a FOC mediation. I told him I will go myself, get a report
