Our Founder, Chris French, is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law. He received Bachelors of Science in Communications from the University of Michigan. Chris calls himself "a long time non-attorney." Meaning he became an attorney at age 44 and understands the stress and frustration the legal system presents to those who didn't attend law school.
Dino is a resident of Riverview, Michigan, and has over 15 years of legal experience in Michigan, Florida, and the United States Federal Court. Dino is an experienced litigator with successes in criminal defense, civil litigation, family law, landlord tenant, and more. He has successfully represented clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies in all phases of litigation.
Associate Attorney Shawn Ewing is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law. Shawn worked in other fields for many years before becoming an attorney. His years of pre-law life experience allows him to better relate to DLC clients because he understands their concerns from a non-attorney perspective.

They took my money never notified me when sending me an email obviously having trouble with complicated cases from their lack of understanding will charge you for every word that comes out their mouth and we'll take your money even though they did not even stand a day in court or fight for you I recommend not using this law firm

Went to Chris for some estate planning and in the process he discovered an issue with the deed to our home. He helped us to resolve the issue and complete our planning. He explained everything thoroughly & was very responsive to my emails an phone calls. Would definitely recommend Downriver Law Center & will call them again for any future legal needs.

At the end of our rope , personally broken ,and financially exhausted we decided to make one last shot at our family’s goals . The reviews are good , Zoom consultation was encouraging but honestly I expected nothing more than the costly dead end fails of the previous lawyers we had hired. Chris never gave false hope ,carefully explaining the challenges he kept me on topic and mindful to paying him to talk about anything not completely pertaining to getting my goals met. This was important because I really wanted to vent when I realized I had found a lawyer with enough knowledge and integrity

My sister had several mini strokes at age 54. She & I have known Chris for over 20 years, long before he went to law school. At age 54, having never married nor having children, she had no legal papers in order. My Ex used Chris French as his lawyer for our divorce and I have to write this. As the person on the other side who didn’t even have him as my own lawyer, he was very professional and very thorough. He did not try to undermined me or try to add anything in our papers to try and screw me over. Honestly if I ever needed a lawyer again I would use him. He was amazing. We got divorced in the middle of the pandemic and even with all the setbacks that we had he still tried to get it done as fast as possible for us. Even after our divorce was finalized he still helped me out with trying to fix the document

I came to Mr. French for an issue that requires resolution within a week while I know the courts would require weeks and months. Mr. French and his staff were very responsive and I was able to meet them the next day. As soon as we meet, Mr. French was so professional and passionate at the same time. He just got on with it strategizing and taking action.

I used to work for the sky and from listening to him talk to his clients and how he cares about them and ask him why he became an attorney and when he became an attorney that will seal your confidence in Hiring him because Chris is truly for families and for helping. This man is absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I are deaf and he is so understanding! He has blown my mind with how willing he is to work with us and help us with understanding everything.
