At Scott's Shop, we deliver quality workmanship while staying true to the old-school commitment of trust and service excellence. Although we keep seeing new auto repair shops around, we continue to be a reputable name in San Luis Obispo through our tried and proven knack in auto repair. Whether you have a car, SUV, van, truck, or sedan; our ASE certified technicians will diagnose your problem on scene and offer only the services you need.
The air conditioning unit in your vehicle operates similarly to a refrigerator. Your vehicle's air conditioning unit is designed to move heat from the inside of your car to outside of it. The refrigerant carries heat. In modern cars, refrigerant is a substance called R-134a. Older cars' refrigerant is called r-12 freon, which is more expensive and difficult to find than R-134a.
Your vehicle's battery is the source of electrical currents necessary to start the engine. The battery provides power to your vehicle's accessories and electrical parts; it allows them to operate even when your vehicle's engine is not running. Additionally, components such as your engine and starter rely on the battery for power; they cannot run without a properly functioning battery.
A vehicle also may needed such an inspection for Brake & Light (Lamp) to correct a defect cited by a law enforcement agency such as Police, Sharif or the California Highway patrol. When you decide to keep or buy a salvaged vehicle, either due to accident damage or theft of the vehicle, the California DMV treats the case as a ownership of the vehicle is going change, even though the owner may remains the same.
From ambulances to trucks, fleets come in all shapes and sizes. No matter the type of vehicle or the size of your fleet, the experts at [ShopName] can provide service to most fleet vehicles. Yearly inspections, maintenance and tune-ups are all key to keeping your fleet and business on the road. If one of your fleet vehicles breaks down, the team at [ShopName] makes it our priority to get it back on the road quickly.

Scott is not only an amazing mechanic but he is also kind and explains what he needs to do to your car throughly! I always feel extremely well taken care of there and never like I'm being cheated out of anything! I've taken 3 cars there now and will continue to go back because of the quality of work, knowledge base, and friendliness everyone there possess.

I've used the great services of Scott's Shop a couple times, first for something minor (smog test) and soon after we returned more a more expansive service we needed. Of course it's always a bummer to have to get work done on your car, but it's so reassuring to have it done by people who are communicative, friendly/funny, and trustworthy. I was recommended to them by a friend and now I'll be recommending them myself. Great experience.

I have consistently been given solid and sensible advice from this shop on a wide variety of repairs and issues that needed to be addressed. Recently I had them swap out the transmission, all suspension/steering components, switch to disk brakes, and a number of additional minor things along the way on my 1968 El Camino. As usual...the quality of work they did was exactly what I expected...excellent! I highly recommend this shop if you want the work done right.

A neighbor recommended Scott's Shop and I am so very glad he did. I brought my Honda van by to have it looked at. They scheduled me an appointment to have the repair done pronto. The work was done very efficiently and quickly I might add. I would not hesitate to take my vehicle back to them for any issues
