New owners… 😕 We have been going to the Grand Mesa Lodge Cabins for many years to celebrate The New Year, it’s become a tradition. We were unable to make it to the cabins due to weather and road closures. My husband asked if we could reschedule since we were unable to reach the cabin due to zero visibility, icy snowy conditions, and road closures. My husband was told we could not reschedule and we had already paid. The new owners immediately reposted our cabins as available on their website (for $10 more a night than what we paid). We typically came for 3 nights in December and 3 nights

I didn't stay in the cabins this go around, but I definitely will! Stopped in for some lunch and drinks after a cross country ski and was greeted by an incredibly friendly and pleasant staff and DELICIOUS food. The hot wings were FANTASTIC. Some of the best I've had. The drinks were cold and the fries were good and the service was great. Looking forward to coming back for a stay and a snowmobile tour!!

Had a nice stay at Grand Mesa Lodge for three nights at the end of July in Cabin 2. Some friends stayed in Cabins 4 and 6 at the same time as I did, so I got to see inside those cabins as well.
Cabin 2 is definitely "cozy". Narrow staircase going up and need to be careful to not hit your head. There is a small bathroom for the toilet and an old shower, but the sink is outside the bathroom in the living area. There was a full size fridge, coffeemaker with filters, dish soap and dish towels. Because of Covid, they were requiring us to bring our own blankets, but they had pillows and sheets

We didn't stay, we rented kayaks and a canoe and went out on Island Lake for a half day. Great little gift shop for souvenirs. They provide everything you need for going out on the lake. Life jackets, paddles, great equipment. They even rent out fishing poles and you can buy bait and lures in the shop. Island lake and the surrounding area is just so beautiful. The lake water is crystal clear. They also have food and lots of beer choices. Local ciders and wines. They have a limited food menu, but it is great. My son said the chili was "ballin'". Great way to spend time up on the Grand Mesa. The

We found this place while out driving and photographing the wildflowers. We did not stay at the cabins so I can't comment on those. This is a very simple menu. Pizza, chili, chicken wings and tenders, fries. That's it. You can order a beer or alcoholic drink. You have to buy a soda or soft drink from their store. We had a pizza (one size only). Waitress said it was a commercial crust that they dress up. Veggies that we added were fresh. Pepperoni was Hormel.

We stayed in cabin 6 and were very pleases. It was very clean and ready for us! I was extra happy to find all the pots and pans to cook with, along with plates and silverware. They have a great selections of rentals for water activities. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, I will definitely stay there again!

This place is amazing! The owners are super nice people. The cabins are rustic but comfortable and have everything you need. We had a great time snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sledding and snowmobiling. There was so much snow, it was pretty incredible. The lodge practices good Covid precautions, everyone was masked, tables blocked off and spaced apart. We felt comfortable grabbing a couple of drinks at the lodge while we waited to take our food Togo. Really good homemade pizzas. We will definitely be back!

We stopped into Mesa Lakes last week looking for a fishing license since they advertise a tackle and bait shop. From the outside, there were many people milling around without masks on. We donned ours and went inside. At the bar were three young women, all servers, without masks and a bad attitude. They ignored us at first and then reluctantly asked what we wanted. We asked if they sell fishing licenses and received a brow beating and a BIG 'NO!'
We could see folks on the outside patio, not sitting six feet apart, but maybe two to three.

We've been coming to the lodge every Thanksgiving and New Years for 10 years and have never been disappointed! Rose and Mike are always so warm and hospitable, the cabins are rustic, clean and delightful! The renovations to the lodge, the food and bar are the perfect place to relax after a day snowmobiling. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

My husband and I spent two nights at this lodge with our adult children and our 50 pound dog and had a great relaxing weekend. In cabin 12. The view is fabulous, the hosts are very friendly and the rustic cabins are just what we were looking for as a compromise between a hotel and a campground. They have recently remodeled their lodge and it has a full service bar with snacks, mini mart with gift shop and a back balcony that has a great view of Island Laka.

I love this place! My husband surprised me for a birthday getaway and couldn't have picked a better place. I believe a husband and wife run the place, very sweet couple, very welcoming and extremely helpful!. It was nice to have a private area and inside the cozy cabin was a wood burning stove, gas burning stove, refrigerator, bathroom With very hot water, 1 queen bed, 1 twin, A futon and an eating area. The place was clean and had all the essentials for cooking and showering. My husband and I had some Bad luck with one of the snowmobiles and our Truck with a trailer behind it got stuck in

We stayed in cabin number 13. It their smallest cabin, but what a good time we had. Being unfamiliar with gas stoves and heaters, I had to get a lesson from Mike the owner, but after that it was a whole lot of fun. It has a queen bed, full kitchen with full sized refrigerator and a shower bathroom. The covered porch came in handy when we had a very short rain shower. The lake is about a 100 yard walk away, but the cabin had a good view of it. It has a fire pit and a Webber grill. We even cancelled reservations in Grand Junction so we could cook all our meals there. What a relaxing 3 night

My husband and I recently went on our honeymoon and stayed at the Grand Mesa Lodge. The rates were very affordable. We stayed in Cabin 10. The cabin was perfect! It was very clean and well maintained. Mike and Rose, the owners were very personable and gave us tips on where to go in the area. I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone staying in the Grand Mesa area.
