I help my clients to experience new, more fulfilling ways of being in the world, in relationship, and with themselves. You might be considering therapy for many reasons--to address the myriad stresses encountered in relationships and daily living, to discover how to be more creatively alive, or perhaps to foster kinder internal dialogues with yourself.

My aim is to collaboratively help you find ways to feel more supported amidst challenge, while also crafting a life that feels inspired, meaningful, and nourishing.
Services
I believe that we're always looking to reorganize towards more harmonious expressions of our beingness. I feel fortunate and inspired to engage in my present work as a therapist, which requires me to continually draw from my own always-evolving experience. In previous phases of my life, I've been a community college professor, English teacher, dusty traveler, free-lance writer, and rushing waitress.
Therapy often holds the paradox that our present state needs acceptance just as it is, and yet also contains the seeds of change and growth. Together, we can hold these two truths simultaneously to invite more self-compassion into the moment, and to locate the motivation needed to usher in new states of being for the future.
Knowing and naming our truth gives us a chance to make choices with more awareness and self-compassion. Each of us arrives at an impasse in life at some point or another. I have a deep respect for the challenges we all face as we navigate the mythic and noble narratives of our lives which require so much courage, trust, and heart.
Relationships can nudge (or sometimes shove!) us to the edges of what we know about ourselves, and challenge us constantly to show up in newer and more authentic ways. Therapy can help re-establish lost safety, encourage a foundation of relational security and interdependence, foster healthier communication, invite mutual empathy and true listening, and support the need for autonomy and difference.
If you have a known destination or goal in your life you are aspiring towards, and need less frequent sessions and/or more email support, then consulting may be right for you. Every consulting client has a unique plan designed just for them, including supportive resources for between sessions. Inquire for more information on this offering.

Just over 3 years ago I met Anna for the first time. I was in a very dark space. I was dealing with crippling depression and suffering from panic attacks and anxiety. I had tried a lot of things to ease my troubles but I couldn't but nothing seemed to really work. So I called and made an appointment.

From day one I was very comfortable with Anna. She is quite easy to talk to and connect with. Without getting into too much details (every person is different) I felt things start to shift for me, even in those first few sessions.
