Called to get a quote to rebuild my 2003 Ford Ranger transmission since it wouldn't engage in reverse. I was told that they won't be able to give me a quote without an inspection. Paid $150 for the inspection only for them to confirm that the truck does not go into reverse. At that point I'm told that it is recommended that I pay another $250 for them to start opening the transmission to see what's wrong. Apparently the $150 was just to check computer codes and check fluid levels, etc. I went to these guys for a transmission problem, not to have my engine and fluid levels checked

Called and asked how much it would be to inspect the cooling system as I was having overheating issues. I was told $150, fine. It's been a while since I've been in the shop and things have gone up from the original $60 something price. After the $150 inspection I'm told they need to do a Hydrocarbons test to make sure the head gasket isn't blown. $85, fine, I mentioned that was a concern of mine. Test comes back fine now I need to pay $135 to inspect the cooling system. WHAT? The $150 didn't cover that? No, the $150 only covered poking around, driving it and visually identifying there was a leak

I brought my car in to have them perform a diagnostic test on my transmission that my mechanic could not do. In addition to recommending the transmission be replaced they recommended a bunch of other stuff be replaced on the car that my mechanic did not recommend when I brought my car in for service a couple hours earlier that day. When I told them to just replace the transmission they said the total cost would be $5200 and they would send a confirmation email. When I got the email it said $8200. They explained the additional money was for extra stuff and assured me that if just the transmission

Not sure many people look forward to having to take their vehicle into Mechanic. Myself being one of those, SR Transmission made my situation easy and stress free. The counter people were great, answered my questions, explained their services well and check in/out went great. Also liked their email service about rhe vehicle and the display of their prices. I have two complaints: one the left the replaced windshield wiper in the bed of my truck, didn't understand why they did no discard it. And two, they did not lock my hood, which I noticed was a bit up, so I closed it shut. Just some safety issues that should have been resolved before I left. Would have given more stars if safety of customer was better.

I took my daughters car in for transmission servicing and it was a great experience! They were friendly and professional. They quoted me a time that it would be done and were on schedule. They also checked the rest of the systems and made recommendations, but didn't try to pressure me into getting them done. I will definately use them again, when MY car needs servicing. :)

Two weeks before a cross country trip to St. Louis, I took my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan in to my local dealer for the 60,000 service, oil change, and a basic check to make sure the vehicle was was roadworthy for the trip. They did all the service but found that I had a lot of metal shavings in my transmission and suggested that it be replaced. I told them to proceed with the replacement, but they had trouble locating a transmission, and once they did, said that it would take 4-5 days to get it. They promised that they could have it back to me by the following Saturday, a day after my scheduled

I was able to book an appointment within a few days of my call to their shop and they were out standing about letting me stay while my vehicle was worked on.
I received updates throughout the entire process on the link they emailed me. It gave estimates on services that could also be done to my vehicle, and it's still an active link so that I cane refer back to it and make an appointment and they already know what I am referring to.

This was the first time I have been to SR Transmission and I was quite impressed they were very professional. As a woman it is challenging to find a place that does not take advantage of a woman. I truly appreciated the 10 Point Inspection. My car is a 2007 so I know that it does need some of this work and I will most likely have it done here.

I have confidence taking my car to SRT and know that they are going to give me straight answers and I can trust their knowledge. Their communication emails are so helpful and provides pictures detailing any recommendations. You can approve repairs online, and know the cost up front. I highly recommend!

Sam states, even though he is the owner, that "company policy does not allow us to install customer provided parts." Was looking to have a transmission flushed and I would provide a top notch synthetic fluid. Really dude?
Really doesn't make any sense to not allow for some top notch Amsoil fluid to be used. Wait, yes it does. Businesses such as Sam's shop are looking to add a premium/upcharge for the parts they sell. If you bring in your own, it costs down on their "profit." I'm sure the Amsoil fluid that I purchased as a commercial customer would have been

They have had my car 2 times and can't fix the problem. They charged me a diagnostic fee, and when they were not able to fix the problem twice, wanted to charge me the diagnostic fee again. They think that my frustration is related to the economy. (The service guys says... I know you have a lot of things going on -repeatedly). How condescending can you possibly be? The person who writes up the service tickets DOES NOT LISTEN and was rude and kept talking to me like I was a dumb woman. The only thing that makes me dumb is trusting this shop twice to fix my transmission.. btw I drive a 2015

This shop and it's owner are absolutely crooks!! I have spent over $5,500 at that shop on my transmission for my f-250 in past few years, yet after less than 50k mikes the tranny blew, and I took it to them thinking they would stand up for their work. Yet, no, wanted to charge me $124 to "check fluid level and do external inspection of transmission and road test vehicle". REALLY!!! 1.pulling out dipstick takes less than 1min!
2.cannot road test a truck that was towed in cause it won't run
