Brothers Bedding was established in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1938. Mr. L.J. Brothers was the founder and owner until his death in the late 60's. Mr. Brothers stated in his will that the employees could continue to operate the business until they were ready to retire. In 1982 Marty Bass, the current owner purchased Brothers Bedding and has expanded the business to what it is today.

Stopped in at the Maryville store on 1/8 needing a new bed after trying so many other mattress stores, talked with Derrick and told him what we were looking for. He showed us a few options based on our needs, very proffesional, easy to talk to, and no pressure, after deciding on one bed was delivered on the 14th, best sleep we've had in years. Very pleasant experience all around, thanks Derrick.

I bought a mattress in 2019 and here in 2021 it slopes on my side of the bed. I weight 250 pounds and was assured by Andrea this would not happen as it did with a former mattress only 1 year old. After paying 3800.00 bucks for the top of the line I called Brothers Bedding today Wednesday December 15 2021 and was spoke to a guy whom supposedly handles complaints. He said there was a back log and did not know when he would be contacting me. Well low and behold he called me the same day and gave me a date in January 2022. We had searched different stores for the perfect mattress, but my dad suggested Brothers Bedding because he has had the same bed for over twenty years that was made by them and it’s still super comfortable and we wanted to buy from a local business, if possible. Eugene helped us pick the perfect bed for us and we bought that day. We even purchased two pillows that are amazing and have essential oil (cinnamon) fragrance to them to help us sleep. Our 3rd Brothers bed is a king size and has been a big disappointment. It feels like a regular size bed with extra added to make it a King. When you look at it, it looks perfectly flat but when you lie on it it feels like the middle is high. I’m a side sleeper and with this mattress I have to sleep on my left side. When I try to turn on my right side it feels like I’m turning or lying uphill. I called customer service. He wasn’t the best to be a customer service representative. After shopping at 3 bed stores, We would buy from local Brothers Bedding before anyone else, based on our experience! We were not pushed into a purchase or into the latest sale. Eugene heard what we liked and didn't like He lead us to the perfect bed, and even when we couldn't decide between 2, he made adjustments to make the one for us perfect. We couldn't wait for it to be delivered. We love supporting local business, and glad we could support Brothers with our purchase! Delivery was also super easy!

I cannot say enough good things about the people who run this store. My husband purchased a mattress from them about a year ago and he just cannot get a good night's sleep on it. They told him when he purchased it to come back within a year if he was dissatisfied. He returned to the store today to talk to them and they are going to rebuild the mattress and turn it into a memory foam mattress for a VERY small amount of money. We are amazed at their generosity and extra effort to make sure we are happy customers. We will never purchase a mattress from anyone else but Brothers.
