Nantahala Lake is just two hours north of Atlanta, yet it's worlds away from the busy city life. The area around Nantahala Lake has a rich American history. Original inhabitants included the Cherokee, who lived along the flat ground and in small high valleys. Then came settlers of Scots-Irish descent, who felt at home in these isolated mountains.
You'll enjoy fishing, swimming and a range of boating activities from the grounds of our NC mountain cabin rentals property. And in just a short drive you'll find waterfalls, whitewater rafting, hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding and other outdoor adventures. If you are interested in local crafts and mountain music, we've got just what you are looking for.

I cannot speak for the other cabins. But the Rippling Brook cabin is way outdated and needs a lot of repairs. The porch roof leak and had big holes in it. The pictures online are very old and do not give you the full picture of what is actually going on. There was no DVD player like described online. And very few utensils to cook with. The Landscaping was not done the grass was tall and nothing was weedeated, I had to physically clean up the fire pit that was overgrown as well as the picnic table. The sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable the mattress was wore out and you could feel every spring
