With some of the most spectacular scenery in Western North Carolina, we are situated in the center of all the outdoor activities you could want. The views are fantastic, and the laid back atmosphere makes your cares float away on a gentle mountain breeze.

Motorcycles/Trailers Report

Sport bike and touring riders: The last 2/10th of a mile is a gravel road with a 100 yard steep section. Please be considerate of our neighbors and other guests and keep your exhaust noise to a minimum. Trailers longer than 8' are prohibited. We are at the end of a one-lane road and there is NOT enough room for bigger trailers to get turned around.

Hiker Page Report

2 miles from the AT with free pickup at Stecoah Gap, this tiny but cozy cabin has everything that a hiker needs to get out of the elements and charge up for the next day of hiking. We can house up to 3 in the cabin with a bunk bed and a full size futon. We offer a free shuttle between Stecoah Gap and The Cabins in the Woods for hikers staying with us.

I actually checked out the location while I was staying at another rental a little further up the mountain. Seems like a really nice place and I will definitely consider it in the future for my rental needs.

Home away from home, I love the coop, hiker cabin and the owners. Perfect spot for self care and just melt into the beautiful mountains and atmosphere.

We had a wonderful experience in the Coop. The hosts take great care to make the place so nice. There are personal touches all around the place. The screened back porch was so serene and private. If you are planning a visit, don't hesitate to visit the Coop. We will be back.

Stayed in the Wood Shop cabin and it's better than I could have hoped for. Was able to cook great food. Fully equipped.

Beautiful. Close to hiking trails. And a perfect deck with rocking chairs to drink coffee and relax in the cool morning mountain air. All amenities provided and some inside the cabin. Very clean. Only caution is if you are very sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke- the woodshop cabin does smell faintly of it. Everything is so clean though, you won't notice it unless you're very sensitive.

Lovely beautiful cabin in the woods. Perfect accommodations! All the little things you need are available. The screened porch is THE perfect spot to relax. The surrounding area is beautiful for hiking and drives. Highly recommend.
