Kyphoplasty (vertebral augmentation) is a minimally invasive procedure designed to stop pain from a spinal compression fracture. Spinal Compression fractures can occur from trauma such as a slip and fall, but also occur spontaneously. As we get older, our bone density decreases (osteopenia/osteoperosis) putting us at at higher risk of suffering a compression fracture.

If you have chronic pain, Dr. Kumar could change your quality of life. He's been (by far) the best Pain Management doctor I've ever visited. I've been going to his office for 7-8 years and have always been impressed with his suggestions and care.
He does not prescribe meds just to give you pain relief. He discusses where you are at the moment he sees you, for each visit, before developing a plan to make you more functional.
He has given me the tools to understand how to prevent a flare, how to manage a flare-up, and when I really need more medical help.

Dr. Kumar has been simply fantastic, and I mean fantastic over the last two years! I must start by saying how patient and understanding the staff and Doctor Kumar are. They treat you like an individual, not a number. The service and professionalism from the Doctor as well as his staff is exceptional. I don't like needles but have multiple issues and complications from an injured spine. Doctor Kumar is amazing. Near pain free delivery. My anxiety is the worse thing about the experience. Once there they also ease my stress and pain. I have seen a half dozen or more specialists and Doctor Kumar is the best. He's honest and wants to help.

Dr. Kumar and ALL his staff are GREAT. Dr. Kumar is a great listener, explains procedures, lets you know why things won't work, and willing to go the extra mile. He is very comforting in the procedure room, lets you know when things are occurring. His assistant Ben, is very helpful and kind as well.
I have been to other pain doctors, but none can compete with Dr. Kumar. You are in safe hands.

Not only was Dr. Kumar unable to help with my back pain, he just simply gave up helping after justa couple of visits. It used to be that doctors actually tried helping their patients, those were good old days I would say. A true physician has good bedside manners and doesn’t let their patients hanging just because the diagnosis is not clear. I would only recommend his services, if you already have a clear diagnosis and just need treatment, otherwise Dr. Kumar is absolutely the wrong physischen to seek help from, because he will not help you if he doesn’t exactly know what the issue is. Dr. Kumar and his staff have excellent bedside manner, have been very kind and really take the time to explain things. He has the props readily available in the rooms to explain the human anatomy and how things function which helps understand why things hurt or feel the way that they do etc. He is by far one of the best physicians I’ve ever had. He takes the time to answer questions and is willing to educate rather than making his patient feel stupid or dismiss their pain. Dr. Kumar was recommended to me for pain management. After my procedure, I had no relief and got my menstrual period as a result. I called the office 3 times to ask about this reaction and nobody ever called me back - ever. When I saw the orthopedic doctor who recommended Dr. Kumar, there was a difference in what Dr. Kumar's office reported they did and what the orthopedic doctor recommended be done. The procedure was to leave me feeling better than I had ever felt. No other prescriptions were offered; although, I had had many painful side effects from predizone. Presizone is know to be one of the cheapest drugs in the wold. Kumar charged $750. with no insurance plan monthly payments. He didn't do a follow up call to see me and I had called with, headaches, nausea, insomnia and inability to think straight. I had called his office all night and all day after the procedure.
