Chicago Mattress Company (CMC), the nation's largest and most innovative mattress renovator, grew from humble beginnings. When Andy Shifrin, newly married and freshly graduated from Colorado State University, joined his dad, Jerry, in the upholstery fabric business, neither had any idea where this team would take the company.
We believe that over 17 years of continuous growth and our reputation as the leading mattress renovator in the nation are attributable to the values that have guided our business from our first day. We know that our customers are interested in value, but we also know that value is not only about price - it also is about quality and service.
Chicago Mattress Company has worked closely with a consulting entomologist to develop a unique manufacturing process virtually guarantying that bed bugs will not pose a threat to CMC customers. As we have learned, bed bugs (cimex lectularius), like mosquitoes, are a non-boring insect species -they cannot bore through even the thinnest material.
The standard was developed to ensure that in the event of a house fire, mattresses do not contribute to dangerous flash-over conditions. The additional time that it takes a properly treated mattress to ignite allows occupants to safely escape. Every Chicago Mattress Company product is manufactured based on a tested prototype that is in compliance with fire retardant code (CFR Part 1633).
Chicago Mattress Complies with the label law, this regulation varies from state to state. Basically, this law requires displaying a Uniform Registry Number which identifies the factory that manufactured the products and informs the consumer about the content inside the product, or filling materials inside our bedding, as a percentage of those filling materials by weight; for example, 80% Polyurethane Foam, 20% Polyester Fibers.
