Sonya has been working in the dental field for over nine years and has been with Riverview Dental Designs since 2011. She is a graduate of the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham and also has taken continuing education courses in periodontal therapy. We have compassionate doctors and a great team that provide individualized care for each and every one of our patients.
Dr. Paul Diaz received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1990. He then became a clinical instructor at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry from 1990 to 1992. Dr. Diaz has been in private practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, since 1992. Dr. Diaz is a member of many professional and civic organizations.

I can understand why people are so hesitant about going to see dentists, but at Dr. Dias practice, it is so inviting from the moment you enter, to the time you see Dr. Dias. All the ladies there are so professional and so sweet. The atmosphere is so calming. They all treat you like they've known you a lifetime. Dr. Dias is so nice and really goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. With me, he even did a sleep study to find an extra problem I had going on. I'm happy to have found this place! I have severe anxiety around the dentist, and have always hated going. From the beginning, I was put at ease by the receptionist. We got a warm greeting, confirmation of my last name, and was asked to sit all within five minutes of getting there. The dental assistant named Carly came to get me, and was just the kindest woman the whole time. Asked very detailed questions, reassured me that my comfort was priority, and showed me what my tooth looked like.
