Our beloved Rye Country Store dates back to the 1940s when it was known as the "Rye Meat Market." After many years of successful service, the Country Store was moved to its Purchase Street location where it has since been managed by enthusiastic owners Claire Hassi.
As any customer will tell you, Rye Country Store is a bustling hubbub for visitors hailing from Westchester and Fairfield counties; even patrons from the far-away regions of Dutchess County and New York City still rely on Rye to provide the high-quality food and gift baskets they have long appreciated. Our unique longevity and customer reach testify to our high quality service!

This odd a little slice of Heaven, a small store that offers everything at a good price and with lots of great quality. Stop by and get a bite to eat or grab a small sweet snack for the road. Either way there’s a lot of yummy stuff and other little gifts.
We stopped by here on our way from Boston to DC and my kids and I really liked it!

We have been long time customers of the Rye Country Store. We first met the owners over twenty five years ago when they were recommended as the best place to buy smoked fish and fresh bread in Westchester. For the next few years when ever we had a big party in our home, the Rye Country Store would deliver all kinds of wonderful sandwiches, full course meals as well as outstanding desserts. Friend of mine was so impressed with their selection that he and his fiancé hired them to cater their wedding, which we held on our property. They provided everything from the tents to the service staff! If

Stumbled into this store for the first time today and ended up getting some chicken pot pies for dinner and the cupcakes looked good so I got 2.
I had to jump on here to give a 5 star review for not only the amazing pot pies but the Cupcakes (so random, I don't even like cupcakes!) The BEST I ever had. Wow. That cupcake blew my socks off. Soft and delicious wow. 10/10.

I did not want to go into any stores because of the corona virus and the wait for delivery in Rye is currently 7 days. So, Mary, from the CS responded to a post I put on Facebook. She found out what I was looking for which was mostly fresh fruit and vegetables, and took a video of their entire produce section and sent it to me. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection they had. She then called me and I made my selections from her video. Many other local deli's/stores offer blind texting in of orders, but I don't like shopping without knowing what is available and what the prices

Great selection of too many things to name, but the reason to come here is because they basically have it all. From cream cheese to egg salad to candy canes and veggie chips, this place has the right style and attitude. They even deliver for large party orders, and make a beautiful poached salmon platter.

We have been ordering our birthday cakes from Rya Country Store for years and won't go anyplace else. The cakes are simple but delicious. When we have parties our guests are always blown away at how yummy the cake is...moist, not too dense but not too light frosting is amazing! We will celebrate anything just for an excuse to order a cake :) absolutely delicious!

Since moving into Rye this little store has help me out in a quick pinch with basic grocery items and some hard to get cheeses. But personally the deli selection should be scaled down so that they can actually take care of the customer that is waiting for 10 mins to pay (then gets bumped just because someone is walked down from the deli side). If you have time and don't mind being ignored, this might be the place for you. Also inspect the produce carefully, strawberries with mold on a Mother's Day weekend... not a good sign.

I'm not a fan of this store.
We entered through a side/back entrance directly from the parking lot and walked into a cluttered shop that immediately reminded me of a variety store.
Baked goods, knickknacks, baskets and packaged goods adorn the space towards the back. We walked towards the front and found a male/female team preparing what appeared to be sandwiches with their bare hands. Gross.
As my gf ordered the pies she came for, I strolled around the front which contained fresh produce and additional packaged goods. Note that the front end of the store looked 100% cleaner and much

We ordered two holiday pies from this store. One had a grainy sand-like texture to it and ended up being thrown away, the other was gifted with The Rye Country Store business card to a well established company prior to tasting. Will definitely not be ordering from this store again or recommending. Would give 0 stars if Yelp allowed.
