Directions: For the spicy pecans, place a piece of wax paper on a work surface near the cook top. Heat pecans in a non-stick saute pan over low heat 2-3 minutes. Pour honey over nuts. Stir to coat and warm nuts. When nuts start to get sticky sprinkle with cayenne pepper. Spread nuts on the wax paper, making sure to separate.
Place flour in a medium-size bowl. Dredge chicken pieces in flour, tapping off excess flour. Season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a large heavy straight sided saute pan over medium-high heat until it shimmers, but does not smoke. Add the chicken pieces in small batches and saute until they are a rich golden brown on all sides.
In a large stock pot bring beer, water and rub to a boil and stir. Cut each rack of ribs in half and place in boiling liquid. Be certain all ribs are submerged (add more water if necessary). Reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours partially covered. Remove ribs onto a greased rimmed baking sheet and generously coat on both sides with 1/2 of the bottle of Boozy Bacon Barbecue Sauce.
This classic favorite takes a spicy twist when we add our award winning Jalapeno Whiskey Mustard. Top it with a thin slice of fresh jalapeno for crunch or pickled jalapeno for tang. Place eggs in a large wide saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, removed from heat and cover for 12 minutes.

I placed an online order with Holbrook and I must have caught them at a bad time. I believe the company was in the middle of a move. The item did not ship in a 24 hour time frame (as Company says is typical).
While the above was understandable, I was assured that the package would ship the next day. The day has passed and I'm still waiting on the confirmation!

Highly recommend. I needed to send a sympathy gift to a dear friend and what was sent was top notch. The floral arrangement was absolutely stunning and the gift basket just as wonderful with yummy snacks. If I lived locally to Holbrook Cottage I would definitely be a regular customer. Lots of interesting gifts in this shop and each time I shopped here we had a pleasant experience. The last time
I came, during Easter, my son was treated with helping hide Easter eggs and was given a complimentary treat. The staff made a lovely gift basket out of the items I picked out which made for a nice touch to our gifts.

I have been shopping at Holbrook Cottage for well over a decade, and I couldn't disagree more with the other reviewer. Perhaps he met with someone on a bad day, but I would hate to think that one unfortunate experience might keep people from such a wonderful shop. I frequent Holbrook for wedding gifts, hostess gifts, holiday gifts, baby gifts, and just gifts for myself. Their gift and food selection is excellent, and they always seem to have the perfect something for any occasion. In addition, I have received many hostess gifts from there, and everything is beautifully packaged and delicious

Let me be clear: this shop has a wide selection of quality food and other items. It's over-priced of course, but not more than you'd expect for this type of place.
However, the smile that the abundant and appealing product displays put on my face when I walked in was quickly wiped off by the "service". I was traveling upstate a little while ago and got a recommendation to go there from a local friend. The lady working there, who I understand wasn't the owner, was so blunt, rude and even argumentative. I wasn't sure really what I wanted anyway so I left and came
