Eco Kids
At Eco Kids, it is our mission to provide high-quality care for your "whole" child in a safe, healthy, holistic environment. We believe in creating a peaceful environment that allows each child to learn through hands-on experiences with the world around them. We believe we have a responsibility to nurture feelings of trust and security through warm and respectful interactions with each child.

We commit the energy, patience, and love required to meet the needs of children socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. We seek to do this through a calm, clean, child-centered environment that encourages self-discovery. After searching for childcare for her first son, Owner Robyn Scotland decided to change the face of early learning and open her own children's center.
Services
Our infant classrooms will utilize the philosophy of Primary Caregiving. Each of our two infant classrooms will have eight children and two teachers, and within those classrooms each teacher will be assigned to provide Primary Care for four infants. Primary Caregiving suggests assigning a staff member to a set of children, to allow a strong bond to form between not only the child and caregiver, but the caregiver and family as well.

We were looking for part-time care for our first born and had very few options in the capital district. Luckily, Eco Kids helped us out and we could not be more pleased with their care!

Eco Kids childcare center has the perfect combination of nurturing, guiding, and learning to ensure that children have the support they need to grow and flourish. I love that the center provides a holistic approach to play, to lessons, and most importantly to the children's nutritional needs. They provide organic foods and products, as well as, use many locally sourced dairy, fruits, and vegetables when available. They feel strongly about decreasing our environmental foot print by keeping a vegetarian menu and building healthy eating habits for our little ones. Even though they are located

The vibe when you first walk in is not one that is warm, friendly or inviting. I was scheduled for a tour at a specific time, and had to wait outside to get in touch with someone to open the door. Plus side to that was that they had security where not anyone could just walk in the door. I felt completely rushed on the tour and was not even really given a tour. I noticed that none of the people/teachers working there had smiles on their faces, nor did they seem passionate about their jobs. I understand that it is probably not high paying jobs, but when you are spending this much money a week for
