Services
Tonya Hawes, of "Kiss My Grits Catering" started "Groovy Grub Cafe" in 2018 in Warrior, while putting her own funky twist on the restaurant she wanted to create an environment that spun a groovy vibe with "from scratch cooking" which gave the cafe a colorful personality just like the owner's. The cafe features several popular dishes on it's Menu and a beautiful spread of dishes on it's Catering Menu.
Smoked turkey, black forest ham, Swiss and cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce tomato, and mayonnaise. All stacked on three slices of sourdough bread. Swiss cheese, Black Forest ham, spicy mustard and crips lettuce served grilled on sourdough or rye bread. Our lean corned beef topped with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and creamy, homemade sauce grilled on rye or Texas Toast.
In case you ever wonder about some of the language we use in the Groovy Grub Cafe, we decided to provide you a reference guide. If it's boss, hip, or happening, you're bound to be listening to some of the slang from the 1960s that still resounds in today's language. As you read this list of 1960s slang, you might be surprised to find out how much of it has lasted through the decades.

Well. We were out with kids and really looked forward to trying out but got there and two open signs were flashing but were closed at 1:45 pm on a Saturday. Terrible. #hangery

The Ruben was excellant and my wife loved the chicken salad on croissant. It was worth passing up all the fast food joints.

This was our 1st visit there but we plan to return. The food was hot, tasty and prepared timely. Staff was friendly, engaging and personable. My steak had a large section of fat, but was very good and I had enough for leftovers.

It's a privilege to have a small business like this in our area! Delicious, made-from-scratch sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods. Fantastic service, and just the kind of local cafe we need! They also serve amazing specials, like chicken and dumplings, but call ahead for availability.

Our server was great! The food was not what I expected though. I ordered chicken salad on a croissant, or so I thought. It was egg salad, no chicken in there but huge chunks of eggs. The butterfinger pie was delicious though. I’d go back but definitely order something different.

Great made from scratch menu, especially the daily specials. Too full from lunch to try any dessert, so next time. Met Tonya, the owner/cook, what a fun honest caring person. Food was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
