Official hours are pending, but Skyview is open generally; there is no handoff period when it is closed, so come visit! We are a local, family-owned winery, vineyard, and event center located in central Iowa, just south of Des Moines and east of Indianola. We make numerous varieties of wine made from our grapes and those of other nearby vineyards.
Our wines are quality tested on-site and at Iowa State. We are affiliated with Netter Getter, a bird-net machinery company in Jefferson owned by Paul Klodd. Our family has a long tradition of working with grapes and wine. In 1997, we planted our first grapes at our property west of Indianola with the thought of selling them at the Indianola Farmers Market.

Services
Most of the wines listed are grown in our vineyards; others are purchased from local growers. Availability depends on the harvest each year. Dry, medium bodied red wine with hints of cherry and currants on the palate, and a delicately spicy finish $12.20. We have 2 vineyards - the original vineyard at our residence and the newer one at the winery, totalling about 11 acres.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here last weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect!! Beautiful location, great wine and the most accommodating owners who went out of their way to make it extra special. Highly recommend for a wedding, any event or party or just to hang out and drink wine.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!!
My daughter just had her wedding ceremony at Annelise Winery. She wanted an outdoor wedding & Annelise Winery was one of a few places that had a place to have the ceremony inside if the weather was bad. Before going to the winery my daughter emailed the owner & told him that she would like the ceremony there & he gave her some prices. When we got there he didn't remember the email conversation with my daughter. Then the owner proceeded to say that we couldn't have the wedding ceremony there without having the reception there also. He then had

We had a wedding reception here last night. It was a terrible place and I wouldn't ever recommend it, especially for the price! We had to pay for two days so we could decorate it a two hours the night before. Plus they wouldn't let us bring any type of drink while we were decorating the night before. As we are decorating, the Owner is following us around looking and investigating all of it. During the wedding reception, he has his long black haired dog, walking around everyone while we have white tablecloths and decorations up. While the nieces were playing with the dog and chasing it

We had our son's wedding out here last week. We loved the place. We booked a year ago, and Dave has made us feel like family in that time. It's a family run business and we've also met his wife and son. They have gone out of there way to make sure the wedding was ideal. We had guests comment on how great the atmosphere and wine are. Our good friends told us they felt like they were in a cozy Connecticut winery. Besides the wedding we've been out there several times this year to taste (and purchase) Dave's wine. We recommend the place for events, and also to add it to

I attended a wedding at the winery. I was told where to park, I got out in 3-4 inches of unplowed snow. Truly not acceptable while wearing dress shoes. During the entire wedding and reception, the owners were touring what seemed to be prospective clients around the event. That seemed really inappropriate to me to intrude on someone's event.
When the center says the barn is up heated, they are not kidding. Very cold. The people hosting the wedding were very gracious, despite the intrusions and snow pack.

My mom and I came here for a belated Mother's Day trip and had a fantastic experience. Dave went above and beyond to explain how his winery works. He gave us a tour of his vineyard and answered all of our questions. The wine was sweet and delicious and the patio was a nice place to relax in the sun. We will definitely be back!
