Most importantly, I want to let you know Craig enjoyed camp and wants to return next year! I don't know who was happier with this news, Craig or my husband and I! Sincere thanks for his positive experience. I will highly recommend the camp to all that may be interested. Again thank you and your whole team very much.

Working with Camp Sequoia is the best experience I've ever had professionally and personally. Although I have worked at a number of different camps and workplaces, I'm going on my 7th year with Camp Sequoia because, unlike anywhere else I've ever worked, at Camp Sequoia you can see the positive impact and change you have on the kids who come to us each summer. Every summer, I get to see kids who arrive at camp struggling to make authentic connections with others leave at the end of our program with friends and legitimate visible progress they can take with them to apply to their relationships at

Envision providing your child with an enriched summer camp experience filled with friends, counselors and staff who truly "get it" and activities that are interesting and sustainable for your son and his new buddies. My son returned from Camp Sequoia 5 months ago. Since his return, I've been waiting for the "honeymoon phase" to wear off. But, now that we've experienced a full semester back at home, I've come to realize that this is our new reality. I feel like I finally have my son back. His maturity level and social awareness have grown far beyond what I could've imagined.
Prior to his stay at Camp Sequoia, I hadn't received a positive report from school for at least 3 years. This fall semester conference with his teachers was completely different. They raved about how smart he is and that he is a great kid

My older son, with high functioning autism, thinks of Sequioa as his second home! We have the utmost respect for Brian (the director) and the counselors made such an impact.
We live in California and searched nationwide for the best place for my son. He was 10 at the time, struggling with therapy and non-school activities. Sequoia, with the social skills focus, was a perfect fit. My younger son, neuro-typical with some anxiety and general social struggles during Covid, joined for the past two summers.
Each summer, they come back happier, energized and so much more mature!

It was my sons first time at camp. He has never been away from family or home and was an adjustment. He did the 3 weeks second session and he was really glad he did this. He is looking forward to next year and I can’t thank enough the staff, teachers, and medical staff for a great first year! Director Lux is amazing! This camp he has is a great outlet for boys like my son who have ADHD and social anxiety around kids his own age. While my son was adjusting to camp and a lot of things he was not accustomed to he did help make an impact and help turn negative feeling or actions of other campers

My son just returned from this camp and really didn’t like it. The activities are nice as are most of the counselors but most of the campers have serious social and behavioral issues, not just ADHD. If you have a kid who has ADHD, but knows right from wrong and generally follows rules and adult instructions then I would suggest you look for a mainstream camp. This camp is for kids with severe issues, not mild ones.
