St. Francis Medical Center was founded in 1874 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia as Trenton's first hospital. Today, it is an acute care teaching hospital with more than 300 medical staff physicians representing all specialties and a member of the Trinity Health System. Known as the Heart Hospital, St. Francis is Mercer County's only comprehensive cardiac surgery program.
Our advanced and comprehensive cardiovascular services include the new hybrid lab which combines the imaging capabilities of a cardiac catheterization lab with the sterile environment of a conventional operating room (OR). Other programs include the Regional Cancer Center; Compassionate Care Hospice; Behavioral Health; an accredited Sleep Disorders Center; and a designated primary stroke center.

Eligible seniors can enroll and enjoy our quality care if they live in our service areas throughout Mercer and Burlington Counties in NJ.

Run far away from this place!!!!! RUN! or you may never leave at all. Negligent s##t hole is too kind of a word to explain the workings of this hospital. They are Unprofessional, understaffed, arrogant, miss informative doctors, and nurse’s!!!! They do NOT respond to patients call lights. They Let you lay in the room for hours before anyone comes to check on you. The nurses are robotic and non vigilant to patients well being and needs. Just Assuming an elderly patient has dementia or sundowns syndrome while in the patients room instead of realizing something is horrible wrong is unacceptable

My son had a head injury and the staff was amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I often feel rushed in hospitals, and like the staff doesn’t want to hear what I have to say. However this experience was completely different! I felt so respected and cared for, great patient service!

I want to thank my care team for being attentive, caring, kind and understanding, especially in these busy, crazy times. Ive been disgusted with the new protocol in healthcare this country has inherited. Criminalizing patients is sad and shameful, but true. Thank you for treating me like a human being Dr Stephen Vetrano I wish more physicians would follow your lead. Really. St Francis your blessed to employ some of these great doctors who are almost extinct. Bless you and yours.

Reviewing St. Francis' Covid-19 Vaccination clinic only, as I did not enter the hospital. This vaccine site is A+. Extremely well organized, timely, and kind. The site was well staffed with people checking in, directing traffic, administering shots, and checking on recipients. It was a completely painless and efficient experience. The staff seemed to take pride in their work and everyone I spoke with was super nice. If this is a reflection on the hospital staff, they are doing things right here.

My father is currently at this hospital due to breaking his hip. This is a simple procedure and the staff has been ignoring my father even made him go days without eating because they have no idea when his surgery is. He has been at the hospital since Friday and bedridden due to his hip. He hasn’t bathed because of this. He is completely miserable and due to covid he can’t have any visitors which makes the situation worse. One day he waited for hours for pain medicine.
NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL- ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HOW THEY CAN CARE LESS ABOUT PATIENTS.
