As a Hypnotherapist I work with my clients' comfort and ease to build trust in their own innate strength and intuitive healing wisdom. Although the word 'hypnosis' connotes the idea of a sleep-like trance, Deep Insight Hypnosis cultivates a relaxed, transformative wakefulness.
My clients learn to induce this state themselves, and use it to change patterns of experience, such as physical or emotional pain, and behavior such as addictions, phobias, and relationship issues. In our work together I help my clients practice Deep Insight Hypnosis skills to understand and learn from their own mind, and to learn to guide it.

My name is Eliot Nemzer. I received my Hypnotherapy certification from the Professional Board of Hypnotherapy in 2001. My clients work with me in person at the Westside Healing Arts Center in Santa Cruz, CA, or by an online video or phone session. I'm in my 7th decade on this miraculous Earth. I treasure my wife, children and grandson.
What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is a method to cure what ails you. The word "hypnotherapy" comes from a combination of two Greek words: hypnos, which means "sleep" and therapeia, which means "curing" or "healing". The use of a relaxed, sleep-like or dream state as a means of healing has been recorded in the histories of the oldest civilizations and indigenous cultures.
This hypnotheraputic lesson teaches you how to disengage your mind from the repetitive patterns of thoughts and feelings which block your own inner transformational healing resources. Through this guided practice you learn to train your awareness to return "home" to the miraculous radiant force of your own conscious presence.
Hypnotherapy sessions take place in my Santa Cruz office or by Zoom, FaceTime, Skype or phone. Here are a few pictures of my counseling office in Santa Cruz at the Westside Healing Arts Center. My Santa Cruz office is on 406 Mission Street on the West Side of Santa Cruz. There is a parking lot with ample parking.
We are a community of wellness professionals including a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Hypnotherapists, Licensed Acupuncturists and Herbalists, and several Massage Therapists. We share one of the most serene and beautiful wellness spaces in the Santa Cruz Area. We have a warm, inviting waiting room and reception area, private restroom for clients, off-street parking, and, best of all, radiant and skilled practitioners.
