Camp High Rocks is a traditional boys' Summer Camp in the North Carolina Mountains. We create a purposeful atmosphere based on four key pillars: community, adventure, leadership, and independence that is geared to a camper's needs and interests. Aided by a well-trained staff we seek to teach and to inspire lasting skills and values.
High Rocks is in the midst of 1000 acres of camp-owned mountain woodland, with a ten-acre lake, at an elevation of three thousand feet. Our boys summer camp focuses on the individual, with around 160 campers and 80 staff members. We want to create a sense of community and a "home away from home, " and are able to do this successfully with our small size.

I've worked at many camps though-out the country and High Rocks is by far the best place I've ever worked at thanks to the amazing owners and directors! The campers that come though are phenomenal as well. Lots of memories made this summer! If your looking for a place to send your boy(s), this camp is it! If your looking to work here during the summer, you have found the right place... you wont regret it!

I have 2 boys that attended Camp High Rocks from 2007-2019. My youngest son will be on staff for the 2nd year this summer. The confidence and independence they developed at Camp High Rocks has helped them as they transitioned to college life. They both have very positive memories of their years at camp.

Camp High Rocks is one of the most amazing places for a young man to be surrounded by nature, other young men, and mentors to lead the way. Both my sons have attended, but my youngest is working on reaching the 10 year mark. My absolute favorite thing is that there are no electronic devices allowed! Let your kids unplug and enjoy themselves!

Camp High Rocks is located in heaven on Earth. The activities available are fantastic: horseback riding, rock climbing, sailing, paddling, riflery, tennis, hiking .... my son's loved them all and were able to sample the ones they didn't focus on over the course of the summer, too. They declare the food better than at home. The altitude makes for cool summer nights. The break from electronics makes me a very happy mom - and the boys don't mind at all. The happiest month of the year is spent at High Rocks.

Amazing place to go as a kid. As a 6 year camper and 3 years on staff there’s a reason High Rocks keeps drawing me back year after year. You’re able to try things that you’d never have the chance to do and over 2,3, or 4 weeks have the opportunity to master some of those skills and you get some of the closest friends you’ll ever have.

I was able to experience High Rock Camp as a video producer and I have known and admired the directors and owners for many years. I can honestly say after interviewing campers and staff and getting a chance to immerse myself in camp life while shooting video, that it would be hard to imagine a bringing together a more professional and talented group of outdoor leaders than the High Rocks staff. Their skills, talents, and enthusiasm create a positive life changing experience for their campers.

Awesome camp!! My sons, age 10 & 12, loved their first sleepaway camp experience at High Rocks this summer! I would highly recommend it. The young men counselors were great role models and the staff's nightly blog helped me keep track of the kids activities! They also posted photos nightly which was incredible - I loved seeing my son's smiling faces while doing their chosen activities!
