In 1969 after working for New Bedford Steel and Supply for over forty years N.B. Steel & Supply decided to go out of business and Robert found himself without a job. At this point Mr. Cook decided to go out on his own and start New Bedford Welding Supply with his wife Ruth. They rented a small office and a two stall garage in the north end of the city and began selling welding supplies to many of his former customers.
NBWS offers a vast array of propane services for our customers. We provide bulk delivery of propane for your home and commercial needs as well as tank installation. At our New Bedford and Taunton locations we can refill any approved propane cylinder while you wait in addition to your recreational and camper style vehicles.

New Bedford welding supplies is #1 I've been going to them since I got out of high school and learn how to weld and started my own company they have always treated me so kindly and have always been very quick to answer any questions that I have about anything that has to do with welding or welding tools or supplies they are very easy to work with every single employee is awesome they really know how to do their job and they know what they're talking about and they know how to treat their customers and that's a fact !
