In San Jose and left my iPad in the taxi from the airport. Not having any faith that I would get it back, I ended up contacting Silver Cab and within a couple of phone calls was able to track down the driver...and he came back out of his way to the hotel and deliver the iPad. Very friendly and willing to help the entire time. Very impressed.

Took a Silver cab from the San Jose airport 1/7, first thing the driver asked me for directions. I mentioned to him that i had just relocated to this area and would not be the best person to give directions. When we arrived at my location and i handed him my credit card he asked if i had cash. When i said n,o he said he needed gas money.

A Silver Cab was the only cab available at the airport taxi stand and it had just rolled up. We got in and I soon wished we had waited for a differently branded taxi cab. The driver was hard on the accelerator and especially the turns. Turned so quickly that without seatbelts on I would have slid across the seat a ways. Fast again on our street as he overshot the house by another half house. The only positive was that, because of the speed, the fair was lower than usual on the meter. Very old car, seen it's day, but got us home without a traffic incident. I cannot recommend the company.

Never never never ... SILVER CAB ... airport to Saratoga is not a 87/85... he asked me 87/85.. I said 880/17 he ignored that went on 87 as 280 was coming up he past it and stayed on 85... 65.00 and I told him you took me way out of the way ... I asked him 4 times how many miles .. he would say .. said he was sorry he missed 280 off 87...should not have been on 87... he gave me 10 off and had the nerve to ask me to tip... he drove like a mania 80 most of the way... I think even with the 10 off he screwed me.... I told him no on a tip .. I said you screwed me and I don't trust you... never never

I recently rode from a hotel to the San Jose (CA) airport with a driver who said he was the owner of the taxi service and gave me a card for Silver Cab. The car he was driving said "MetroCab 1012"; I didn't have time to get the phone number.
This was my experience:
1. The driver turned a corner to the right so fast that I was nearly horizontal on the seat to the left. I asked him if he could take the corners a little slower.
2. He ran a stop sign -- slowed slightly but *very* slightly.
